Does anyone know of any reclining seats that carry and kind of certifications? I really want to keep my back seat as an option for the kid, but I don't want to buy something that will limit future use of the car in SCCA, NASA, or any thing else.

Non-reclining seats are on sliders and you can just move the seat forward (if you go the corbeau route and don't weld straight to the floor). They can also get in from the other side. Plus that, with the non-reclining seat it seems like they get even more room for their feet behind the driver. I don't know of about any recliners though sorry.

Cobra Monaco Pros (Black Cloth)

Pros: FIA Rating, good for racing, accepts 5 point harness, pretty comfy, great value: $300 a seat.

Cons: Fixed back if that is a con.

Never seen any. Also, I believe NASA/SCCA rules require fixed back.

I called Ford Racing and asked about the seats, the employee that answered the phone told me not to hold my breath.

Sparco Evo XL. They are excellent for the track. They are non adjustable / fixed back so it took some time to get them just right. I am 6'5" so I have them set very far back and very low to the floor in my SN95 Track Car. In my old 06' Steeda Q, I had a custom built ButlerBilt aluminum tub. Worked well also but uber expensive.

I just got Status Racing seats. They are very comfortable and are FIA approved.

Summit seats. Got both for $200 IIRC from a forum member on another site. lightweight in comparison to stock and super comfortable. Maybe more comfortable than thestock. 2.5 hour rides to and from the track and i never get tired of them. I also retained the stock seatbelts on both sides

I finally installed the seats, i lost a lot of pictures when i was taking the OEM seats apart. Don't ask me how i lost them, they just disappeared. I don't have any lights on on the dashboard. The seats are very good quality for the price, they fit inside the car like OEM and are comfortable. I took it to the dealer and had the Bladder re-set to zero as per Ford. All of the seat harness are attached to the new brakets, there is nothing laying on the carpet. Hope this help you guys with the installation.
