First for Chris Cruz winning the whole thing! And being #1 at the drag strip, and Terry for being #2 at the drag strip. And the best part is, both of those ETs are already out of date! Haha.
I got to say I was disappointed with most of the other cars ETs. Those cars were throwing down big numbers on the dyno but it wasn't translating to the track at all. I think the horsepower portion should be 10% instead of 25% and the drag race portion 25% instead of 10%---because what good is the power if you can't put it down?
My thought was 20% across the board. Pull 5 from each of the other 2 categories, and weight them evenly. They are supposed to be "street" cars, not drag cars. I did have a little bit of surging as Chris did at certian throttles. I drive my car every day though, so I know what throttles the car likes and where, so I never run into that issue.
The new injector dynamics are so much better in the car, it smoothed alot of the surging out. We've played with some of the low end shift points as well.
It's just tough to work out all the little stuff when your tuner is out of town. I can say Jon has done a hell of a job on the car for only seeing it in person a couple of times. Plus we made changes after almost every race last year testing parts. We got alot of stuff worked out this weekend in Bradenton, and i'm excited to see what the season brings.
Now that i've run a number, I can get to points at the races.
