a 200 shot is considered a small shot on a big block...comparable to a 50 -75 shop on your previous motor. I think a 200 shot is the perfect starting point.
Ok, got the hood painted and installed all of the Dzus fasteners. It took me a couple hours to get everything lined up like I wanted -- plus fabricate some brackets for the two additional Dzus fasteners on the front of the hood.
So that does it for now as far as the cars appearance. 120lbs lighter, and next weekend will be the nitrous system install / wiring.
More clearance. Now I have 3 inches from the carb to the top of the hood, before with the CJ style scoop I only had 1 1/2 inches---alot of people where saying that was too close.
Now, I cleaned it. Taking all that rubber off the 1/4 panels was a BITCH!
So lets review:
1) removed all of the internal parts of each door, cut out the center sections, but retained stock interior door panels (-30lbs)
2) JPC front and rear bumper tubing which replaced the stock bumpers (-25lbs)
3) Feathercarbon decklid (-30lbs)
4) Feathercarbon hood (-28lbs)
5) Misc crap (7-8lbs)
- What did you use to get all the rubber off?
- Did you have to cut the front to put the jpc bumper support on, or was that just for extra weight.
- Do you feel the JPC supports are ok for street car use?
