There really are other things going on here... I can sell the car put 10k in the bank and put the rest down on new car... I am thinking long term here.

You put so much blood sweat and tears into that car. Money. Hard earned money on top of all your own labor. I understand the love/hate thing but FFS get a hold of yourself.

To sell that car right now for 26K. To take a bath in blood on it. And then turn around and put the money into a 5.0 that will need even more money plus mod money on top of the purchase price to even get close to what you have.

I like the 5.0 I really do. No question - it's a better car. But no way is it worth the kind of loss you're thinking about taking to get one and then mod the piss out of it on top of it.

I'm glad you are coming to your senses amigo. Why don't you just park the thing and take a break from it for a while? Take your girl on a vacation or something and get your mind off this for a while. Seems like you need a break. No offense intended btw..

I have driven a 5.0, I have all that extra BS that seems so cool in my F150. My car (and yours) can eat a 5.0 for breakfast! Now can the new 5.0 make more power with less boost? Yes. Can they give you more of the creature comforts while making good power? Yes. Can they really be your 700 hp car you built? Well, yes. Do you want to do it all again when the gains really get more equal as the boost goes up? NO! If you want a high hp DD that you will have to build again then do it if you want a sick ass car that you built and can go have fun with then keep it.

In all honesty, If my car was a dd, and I wanted a 600-700 hp DD I would go buy a new 2013 5.0 or GT500 and go that route. If that is where you are at I say do it! Good luck! Just make up your mind, I may have to unsubscribe to this roller coaster! LOL J/K

Just saying that would be my route. If the motor is from a good source then there is no reason a high hp car cant make a good DD. I was referring more to the things He most likely liked about the car,like I have in my new F150. HP could not have been it, he already has way more. He drove it liked the new feel and all the extra stuff it had that his car didn't all the while knowing what the car is capable of with a little boost and a good tune . I can see it.

It's gonna take more than a little boost and a tune to equal "reliable" 700whp. He'll need to spend the money to build the motor as you say from a good source. Honestly while I would DD a boosted car on pump gas I don't think I'd ever feel quite comfy calling it "reliable". A backup IMO would be a necessity. But then I'm not a gambler lol

The new extras are for the most part nice though I'm not thrilled about all of them. The gauges being one. Whiteface. Ugh. And what is this about "new feel"? It's the same chassis dude. He already has a modded suspension and you know he'd mod the new one anyway.
