Does nobody remember the damn drivers Ed book? Or if your my age the driving class? They taught you not to stare at lights but to look at the edge of the road! Works every time for me and lights really fuck with my eyes

^^^Exactly.

I think that a lot of people just still aren't used to seeing HID lights on cars, and are under the impression that the driver of said HID car has his/her brights on. When they see one coming, they automatically "flash" their brights to the person driving the HID equipped car. Especially if they see the "extra" light coming from a fog/driving light.

Look at the light output of an older car with halogen lamps vs. a newer car running HIDs. Even on low, the HIDs put out a much brighter light.

Like Torched said, I always look at the yellow line on the right side of the road if someone coming towards me has bright head/fog lights.

I think it's time to upgrade my headlights. Kind of hard to see at night sometimes. What bulbs do you recommend for the svt headlights from my gt500 front end conversion and also the fogs at the bottom? I figure i won't blind anyone since the fogs are at the bottom. Just want something a little brighter for the headlights than the stock ones.

I never flash people either. Like stated above, I just look at the side of the road instead. I do hate the lifted trucks blinding me more than hid's also. Especially when they're behind me at a stop light and their light is directly in my side mirror.

I hate when I'm driving on a dark roadway/highway and people flash their highs at me when I only have the low beams and fog lights on. I noticed they help put more light out on the sides of the car (aka deer finders). I just flash my high beams right back at them.

I know, I have just the regular lights, And if I run the upper grill lights, I get flashed as well. I guess they see the 4 lights and just assume high beam.

My wife and I both get flashed a lot in our Toyotas. Hers is a 06 4runner with factory projection lenses and mine is a 12 Tacoma with regular headlights. I just flash back to show them that they are not on bright and before any one says they need adjusting, Toyota adjusted both on their machine while doing services.

Seeing 4 lights on a car automatically tells me that they have their low beams are on, the fogs should go off when high beam is on

No more flashing and I can see about 20-50 ft out to the sides angled out front.

EDIT: Also, if you lower your car more in the rear its going to bring the overall angle up so your lights should be re-adjusted to compensate. It's also possible for lights to shift and become out of adjustment over time.

I hadn't thought of this, thanks for bringing that up.
