Now that is all pure speculation isn't it? I will say this, kdanner's car will be at the track soon to see how the CJ intake performs along with a more efficient converter. I have a hunch that it is going to kick some ass. We have put many power adder cars to shame at the track with the N/A stuff.

(I say this as I am moving to a power adder in another month or so.)
Sure it's speculation. Probably pretty accurate though. But at the track ET is measured. At the 1/4 mark he was probably down on mph regardless of where the cars stood side by side. Kris could smash him ET wise but mph is all that matters here. Chances are very good the blower was faster. Not long after the 1/4 though Kris passed him I'm sure. Surprised if his inlets were under 230 at the 1/2 mile. Those things are failure by design as far as the mile goes lol. But that's not to knock Kris. I'm just saying don't be surprised to see a PD car do poorly. If it were my car I'd just be happy it lived thru the mile hahahaha

Most land-speed racer's I've talked to run zero toe in order to minimize losses in the forward direction. Is that what you're referring to?
Yep, that's what I meant. But guys I talk to guys going that fast, they usually toe in harder to achieve zero toe at tops speeds.

Looks like the video is back. Maybe they should spend less time doing wheelies on the ATV and drinking beer, and more time making the car run right.

I'd rather have N/A at the mile over a PD blower.

In my opinion, this is hands down the baddest car I've ever seen run the mile, and I don't like Chevrolets at all. Yes it's nearly 600 cubic inches. That's still seriously getting it done NA with a horrible aero package.

Lol @ Kris. I agree about Big Red, I've followed that car since the first one (this is the second Big Red). Awesome work by RJ and family.

Congrats Kris! good run for sure.

Dunno why people hate PD blowers at The Mile...some of us dont have problems with them. :evillaugh:

Fuck, that's impressive. I call them old ones aerodynamic as a brick lol
I still love the bodies over anything produced today by far.

No disdain for them personally at all, maybe disdain at the commercialism of it though. No bashing either, I don't know them and don't know them to have ever wronged anyone. But when the NA car can do the same thing at the same event in the same conditions, they don't have something to be bragging about in the media like they are doing, that's all. I'd be embarrassed if it was me. Like I mentioned before too, this really illustrates the importance of something that I think so many fail to realize: dyno numbers mean absolutely nothing. You can bet my car doesn't make within 100 RWHP of what that car makes.

True but let me ask a question...

Do they tune their own cars?

Could it be an issue with them advertising a certain build and letting people see its capabilities with it still being safe as a DD and can hold up even when pushing it. Seeing that they are so media savvy.. Just wondering...

Like I said, nothing against them personally. I've even bought the occasional part from them, they aren't all that far away so if I'm passing by Waco I stop by sometimes. In the end, it still isn't news. Brady McCoy ran 180.2 in his TVS blown 2011 there a year and a half ago. It didn't have the big throttle body or headers on it either, even had stock quiet exhaust.
