After the SC pulley failure, finally getting around to this today. Woo hoo. Along with installing my MGW.

Install is fairly simple. MGW says you do not have to remove the DS. Umm, you don't, buy dang it makes it a ton easier getting it and the exhaust out of your way. I didn't fully remove it just dropped it out of the way and I had a ton of room to work.

They suck at high rpm shifting. There is no way to get into 2nd gear at a wot shift at 6k without grinding.

They all seem to have that problem and there's a million different "so called" fixes for it but pretty much none really work from what I can tell. I have heard of people changing the tranny fluid, changing the clutch lines, changing shifter, tourque limiters, and the list goes on and on. It is my understanding that there is only one cure and that's a different transmission lol.

I had the same issue with my MT-82 ... changing the K member/motor mounts, bracket, and fluid seems to have mostly resolved it. But yes, the fix is a better transmission.

Yeah I have heard alot about it, but my old 2010 and Jlear's 2011 both done fine for me at the track, it must be hit and miss on them I guess.

We were lucky with ours Jason lol
