I can't wait to see how the lines flow with the rear of your car.

In terms of the fenders, would it be easier to buy some 2010 fenders, cut them down the center of the wheel well and then weld the 05 fenders on to it from the cut back?

it could be done, but you need to retain the entire top section of the older fender. the newer fenders have a much sharper edge on the top and its slightly raised on the outer corner. if the front lower quarter section from just below the top fold could be cut and welded to a older fender....it would work. if i find a set of fenders for cheap, i may try it.

main reason i didnt try this before was i didnt know if the top portion of the older fender would match the contours of the newer hood lines. if i put my older fender on, next to the newer hood, it matches perfectly.

But you wouldn't you want the top of the fender to retain the new style otherwise its not really a complete fender conversion per-se imo. Just the door profile to transition softly into the 13 style

I'd like to have my hood stay but do the 10-12 front end.

i dont think so, the top body line on the newer cars is alot more rigid and almost raised. so when it meets the door it wouldnt match from the door back to the rear quarter panels. currently all the stock lines match from front to rear on that edge. the old body lines on the fenders actually match the new hood great. there has to be a happy medium in the middle to make it flow like it was stock.

But if you are doing a front end conversion then you would throw the 13 hood on there too which may not look right with the old top of the fenders

Too bad they arent just bolt ons. I would get them in a heart beat to put a newer front end on my car.

the car was in a front end collision, a wall jumped right in front of me at the sebring raceway on turn 16....so this is not only a conversion but a rebuild. i just got the car back from the frame shop yesterday to get all of the frame put back to normal. where i thought the bumper was meting the fenders matched up pretty good....now its not looking good at all....on top of the peices i had to add for the bumper bracket, looks like i will have to cut the fenders in places and re-glass it to match the bumper position.

i ordered some 2010 fenders that i will use to set the rest of the front end....once i get the hood, fenders, bumper and headlights to line up....ill either figure out a way to combine my old fenders with the new, or i will start hacking on the fiberglass fenders.

Im planning to call the fender manufacturer to let him know im not pleased with his "conversion" fenders.....
