Took my new '14 Mustang GT Automatic out drag racing for the first time tonight. It's a heavy, loaded Glass Roof car with navigation & most factory options weighing in at 3860 lbs with me in it (3,680 lbs w/o me). 2 best timeslips are below (12.799 & 12.805). I'm car # 2061. Density altitude ranged from 1000 to 1700 feet above sea level for tonight's 10 passes I made, so I can't wait for cool fall weather to run even quicker!

Stock 302 (5.0L) V8, 6R80 6-Speed Automatic, and 3.15 gears. 600 miles on the odometer, and 100% factory original except an SCT canned tune (91 octane "strategy" tune) and 28" tall M&H 275/50/17 drag radials mounted on 17x9 Drag 31 wheels.

Thanks! Track prep was fine - I didn't slip a tire at all, but I had drag radials and I know how to heat them up properly. Guys on street tires were spinning like mad, but most newbies try to launch at 5K rpm's on street tires - LOL. At least the crew scraped the rubber off the starting line at least once to help.

I see you live in lovely Port Orchard. Wish I was that close to the track! I have to drive an hour in traffic to get there, but I like Bremerton way better than Pacific Raceways (which is only a couple miles from my house). My first run (hot from the drive over) was a 12.90 @ 111 backed up by a 12.91 hot lapping. After a half hour cool down, I got my 12.79 backed up by a 12.80.

Living close to the track is nice. gonna be at the track sept 21 for a final attempt at a 12 second pass this year. Hopefully the DA will be closer to sea level by then

Best '60 i have gotten is a 1.91 on 28" DR's. I have tried many different shifting rpm's and the best results have been 7400-6800-7500>

You're oh so close to the 12's! Bremerton is such a good track for running good #'s in the fall, that's for sure.

Last year I got my car done just in time for the rainy season....had to look at it in the garage all winter....that was painful. This year I'm afraid it is going to be the same thing.
When I lived in Hawaii it was summer year round...I miss that part.

BigStick got me to the track once. We had a blast but it was about 2hrs one way. By the time we can leave , drive down, get in three runs we got home after 11pm. Of course now the track that is closer (still about 1 1/2hrs) is having test and tune nights again . But the kids school starts next week which means sports etc. I am also involved at our church and alot of things there are starting back up.
I have a circle d multi disc coming and I hope I can get it here and installed and still have enough days to get to the track.
I had a blast and want to go but man it is hard to get time.

I'm in the same boat. All three 'local' tracks are 45 min - 1 1/4 hrs away, so unless I load up the night before I won't even get to the track in time to make more then one run.

Hopefully that will be changing soon.

We have 2 tracks....one is 2 1/2 hours to the east and the other is 2 1/2 hours to the west .

I'm car # 563. Density altitude was about 1400 feet above sea level for the 13 passes I made, so I can't wait for cool fall weather to run even quicker!

This car is very consistent, running all night within one tenth (when I didn't goof): 12.60, 12.62, 12.63, 12.64, 12.65, 12.66, 12.68, a and pair of 12.70's. I had a couple of runs where I made small mistakes, but even those were okay runs: 12.72, 12.73, 12.79, and 12.80. All trap speeds were 110-111 mph. I even cut a perfect light on one run (.000) and a .004 light on the run right before the perfect light. This could turn out to be an awesome bracket racer!!!

On the 20"drs with a 3440 DA. Also change me to 23.5 psi. Please. Forgot to add last time I went from 18 to 20 psi. I am now at 23.5 psi
