So you wouldn't go 315s in the rear...?

I have 325/50/15 MT DRs on my car right now on 15x10 Bogart GTs. For the street I have the Nitto NT05r 315/35/20 tire on 20x10 wheels. It is tight on the Eibach Pro kit with the roll bars but they clear. I do wanto send both sets of wheels off to widened to 11" though. Just havent had time.

Well, sure, if they would fit - wider is better - but there are not many 315MM wide tires that are spec'd to fit on a 10" wide rim.

Also keep in mind that a Nitto 305 is not a real 305 - Nittos run narrow.

In a "true" sized tire like the Michelin Pilot Sport PS2's I am running, I *think* you can only go to a 295 on a 10" rim. On my Michelin 335's the minimum rim width is 11.5" wide.

Some drag tires (Mickey Thompson) can handle a more narrow rim. I can fit a 345 MT on my 11.5" rims if I want to. That is probably next...Mwahaaahaaa. I am enjoying dragging more than cornering lately, although they both remain important to me.

My advise is to consult the manufacturer size charts for the tires you are interested in and go with the widest tire you can fit on your 10 inchers.

Would a DR really hurt cornering? What about a RR tire? Seems a Stiff wall DR would corner better then a street tire, I just thinking out loud, nice set up man, looks killer

Drag tire sidewalls are very soft...probably not conducive to cornering. I've never run them, so perhaps someone with M/T E/T streets can chime in - those are what I would run:

Do you have any pictures of those 315/35/20s on the 20x10 wheel on your car?

where is the best place to send them in to widen? I would feel better about widening a 18x10 then my 20x9... not sure about what sheer load would do in this case running a lower profile tire as currently offered..

If so what would be the recommended offset? Think I was told once upon a time that they should be between 41-44mm bs but cant remember

Normally they only widen them to the inside. They will do whatever you want but it costs big time for anything but the inside. It's about $250, plus shipping, for just getting them widened to the inside.

Actually, for the fronts, a 285-40-18 like a nitto- 555 on a 10" rim would be the ideal ticket. With a 285-40-18 on the front..VS a 275-40-18, you would end up with less understeer...at least on paper. Now whether you need Roush steering stops when using 285's on the front is another matter. Apparently you don't need em with the oem roush 275 fronts.

A 275 front / 335 rear is a huge 60mm stagger. You can dial some of the understeer out by increasing front tire pressure a bit. If you are getting no or minimal understeer with your 275/335 combo, hat's off to you..superb.

Called weldcraft today. $275 each to widen from 9" to 11". Unless you really needed 11" which are hard wheels to find then it becomes cost prohibitive when you factor shipping and tax. Shipping both ways gets expensive

Down time is 3-4 weeks not including ship time

They have gone up since I checked a few years ago. I just don't see the value in doing a widened wheel when you can buy a new one for about the same cost.

Someone like myself is a perfect example. The 20s on my car are not made anymore and were never available in 20x11 only 20x10. Now that I have cleared everything for my 15s I have room to run a wider tire so why not get that much more rubber on the ground?

Also, look at my 15s, I already have them and have a 345 tire on them. 11" would get more rubber on the ground there also.

I plan to do my 20s soon since the 15s will be on the car for the rest of the fall.
