This is phase one of my engine bay. This is without extending or cutting any wires, just a little rerouting here and there.

I have been wanting to do a wire tuck but I plan on starting with the battery relocate, I do like the plastic Moroso box better. Something about putting a battery in a small metal box just doesnt seem right, I know it might be safer but its just me.
The wire tuck I know is going to be tricky having the Whipple and not much room under the intake to run any wires along with the extra intercooler hoses.

I have been around your car a few times and still have not really looked the wire tuck that much lol. I will be checking it out at the track rental.

RJ, I'm guessing this is the cable kit you got from Jegs?

Still looking more into this and collecting information... slowly building some confidence in this project.

I plan to relocate the Fuse box to where the battery is and then the ECU inside the passenger fender.

How much wiring do you think is needed for extending the harnesses and how much of each type of wire is needed? I would be soldering all the connections and then heat shrinking with the insulators to protect them all.

Hopefully when I do this, I'll pin point the culprit that causes the car to stop responding to the FOB when the unlock button is pushed.

That is the same kit I used! As for as the wire, you will have the extend the headlight hardness which is about 25 wires about a foot to a foot and a half to be safe. Also you will have to extend the injector wires, plug wires, TB wires and some other on the passenger side all about a foot. I also had to lengthen the front two injector and plug wires on the driver side. It really is not bad at all, just very time consuming.

I mounted my BEC where the battery was, and my PCM in the fender well. To get all those monster harnesses and connectors through the sheet metal (where the battery tray was), I used a hole saw and air body saw to cut a nice large square-ish opening w/ rounded corners. Then I trimmed the sheet metal edges w/ door edge guard to act as anti-chaffe, so none of the wires could get cut.

The piece you have folded over, I took a die grinder and cut it about the height of the antenna and folded it over as much as possible without damaging it. Folded it back when all was said and done. It took alittle finessing pushing the connector through from what I can remember.

Hmm I think ill attempt the battery relocation first to the trunk and then see how insane I'm feeling one day and do a tuck of my own.

Rj do you or anyone have a good write up with good photos how to do a simple battery relocation and where to write it through?

Did a search and found one thread with a few threads compiled along with 05strokers write up but photos don't show up anymore for whatever reason
