How are you planning on dealing with inspections with no cats? Or are you keeping both sets of legs and just swapping them out when needed?

If Brent & George feel like it is not to LOUD after they (Remove) the cats they will stay off.

So basically that is a picture above of the same mid pipe with the cats on it, and we just slide out the legs and slide in legs that have no cats

If they feel it is to LOUD then the Kooks 3" Catted H-pipe W/Cats will be what I run.

Also from what so many on the other Mustang sites have said it is going to be really LOUD.

If that is the case I will be leaving Brenspeed with the cats totally installed.

There are many cases of melted, plugged cats and failed engines due to it. The material in cats, available for our cars, is just not capable of handling 900 hp. If you want to keep the cats, I would try and find some cats from stock high HP cars, like the Vette ZR 1, Those cats are designed for the heat generated by high HP cars. I would also look into not running the cats but getting some quieter mufflers, as an option.

Maybe I should have pointed out if I did not already what exhaust/mufflers I run.

I have the complete Borla (Touring) 2 1/2" exhaust system.

So in my case I'm not really running the (Aggressive) LOUD sort of exhaust system.

So I don't know if mine will end up like "Stupid LOUD" or not.

I agree on the Quieter Mufflers and leaving off the Cats just have to see how damn LOUD is it going to be with the Borla (Touring) mufflers.

Greg had the Borla Touring and no cats on his 2013 and it was stupid loud. It's amazing how much the cats quiet the exhaust. I am running no cats, 12 inch resonators after the X, and Zoomers catback, which they don't make for the Mustang anymore and even with my turbos it's still plenty loud.

I am actually thinking about going with a quieter muffler and some cutouts, for when I am full out with it, this winter as it's louder then I really want. It sounds great but I live in a Golf community and need to quiet it down some.

From what you say it seems when I pick mine back up it will more than likely have the cats and h-pipe installed from Kooks.

I don't really care to be honest if it has the cats installed or not.

Just ain't all that big of a deal to me.

I know I don't won't mine to be like Stupid-LOUD !!!

1st off I'm way past that sort of thing.
If I was in my 20's then maybe I might think it was cool.
But now to me a truly LOUD ass car is more of a Pain than a joy to drive.
Plus in my case I actually like to punch it whenever I wish.
Where I live there is an over abundance of Law Enforcement.
I do mean all of them are here in Williamson County.
You name something and it is here as in Law Enforcement.
And here they do write tickets daily.
So running a car like mine that obviously attracts attention from it's looks with LOUD Obnoxious exhaust is just asking for trouble.
I'll pass on that ..........

Besides I do like to actually take long out of state trips and the last thing I want to put up with is some crazy ass LOUD exhaust that wears you out traveling.

Well we shall see how this goes but from what you and a few others have said looks like mine will be a catted Bullitt Mustang.

Terry, thanks for the surprise visit today! Bullitt looked amazing as always and I had several medics asking me questions about that "race car" after you left lol! That's a compliment of course as it just looks and sounds mean as hell. As a true car guy I'm glad you can appreciate brand diversity among hot rods and that you liked my new Challenger. Gotta say I love it too! It's just an overall fantastic performer with the upgraded suspension included in the Shaker package and the 5.7L Hemi has plenty enough power for me for a DD. I think i'm going to go ahead and do the "Cuda strobe" stripes on the sides. Thanks for your opinion on that!

Two things: Damn you make me look small. And damn my hair is getting grey on the sides! Time for another buzz cut lol!

I see a Challenger Hellcat in your future Tiger....I saw 2 Hellcats on Woodward Ave. driven by some Chrysler engineers. Lime green color with SRT graphics with a roaring Tiger and a red one with no graphics. Awesome looking machines!

I've been riding with Bobby that buddy of mine that drives the Prime Semi so did not even know you got the new "Shaker" Challenger.

I know one thing is for sure it is Killer looking and from what you told me it runs as good as it looks.

I bet it did look good in person.

I think that holds true for the "Shaker" Challenger Tim just took possession of.

It looks okay in Pics but it really is a super looking machine when seen in person.

Evening Guys,

I received an E-Mail from M/T (Mickey Thompson) rep today I have been working with for over a year now.

The 305/35-20" Mickey Thompson Street Comp tires are suppose to arrive his location this week for (Final inspection/Quality Control).

Then they will ship ...........

So looks like I might very well have the new M/T tires on the Bullitt before I deliver it back to Brenspeed the 2nd week of September.

I have been talking with Brent on the next set of Changes/Modifications as you know.

I just heard back from him this morning, discussions are now over, (Final-Decisions) made, (Parts are on Order).

I'll share with those interested and following this as best I can on what will take place.

A few key points like testing off road vs. green cats at your power level etc...

Brent and Kooks exhaust engineers feel this will be the highest quality/best combo for what you do with the car from a street and noise stand point.

I ordered the parts last week, and changed the order over to green cats and I am awaiting to hear lead time on building that
with the green cats and it is not something they normally stock.

"Seibon-Carbon Fiber Hood" local project for water control ...

Latest project done today,

Well believe it or not I actually did this myself.
(I usually don't do any work on my Bullitt)


It might seem like a very simple thing to do but it was not.


How the heck do you seal up the Giant Rectangle Vents in the "Seibon" Carbon-Fiber-Hood ???


Well after literally trying to think of some FAST-Way to seal up those vents from underneath the hood

The other day it just came to me that just maybe there actually might be a simple way to do it.


Off to Hobby Lobby I went to look at anything they had that was Water-Proof in flexible material.


I met a very nice Lady by the name of Mary and explained briefly what I was wanting to do.


She took me to where they had rolls of different material that you cut to size.


Believe it or not I saw a Black heavy-duty vinyl roll but it had a design in it.


Mary said No-Worries tomorrow we will get in our next shipment and there
will be the exact same material but in Black with No-Design in it.


I waited until the afternoon and drove over and sure enough there was the
new roll of the Solid-Black Vinyl.


Not sure how much I purchased but maybe like 4-feet I suppose.
(Wanted plenty of it to play with)


In any case moving right along I did get it finally cut to the right size after a few attempts.


What do they say ??? (Practice makes perfect)


Just arrived at Hobby Lobby and yes I am way the heck out in their parking lot

A Major problem with sealing up those vents is
practically no-clearance on the driver's underneath side.
It almost touches the Roush CAI underneath.









Passenger side has plenty of clearance underneath.

Of course it really probably does not make any difference.
It's for keeping the rain out and not for a Car-Show.

This was very temporary and held in place
with Black-Electrical-Tape.
If this was the real thing the (Vinyl) would
be held in place with the

Here is the real deal for holding the
Black Vinyl in place.
Trust me it does hold and ain't falling-off.

Clean all areas where the tape is going to be applied.

Many people use
"Quick-Detailer"
under their hoods for Car-Shows.
That Detailer will not let the Gorilla-Tape Stick !!!
