sweet! you''ll have to show the set up pictures of it, and wiring. I know most aftermarket fans only come with 2 wires, and we have 3 for the fan, I know most just hook up the high speed wire to the slim fan, but that's something I haven't gotten to yet on my build.

more bad news.. during head inspection the shop found 9 bent valves - and my retainers were shot also.. They said that one valve was bent so bad they had to pound it straight just to remove it - and they were bent at the top......

WTF.

gonna bring them my cams soon so they can inspect those. I didnt see any marks on them so hopefully they are fine. I was running Comp Mutha Thumprs

Well I had the infamous tick and replaced all timing. One of my phasers was actually broke. So maybe that had something to do with it. But yeah the shop was wondering if I knew what could have caused it, and I really have no idea. But I have new of what it could have been.

Were you bidding against me on ebay? If so you got a great deal.

Pulled the trigger on an iw 8rib 10% od balancer. With super duty hub option. Figured muse well invest in that part with this build.

Broke dafuk down
Good balancer. Use the arp bolt with it tho. Probably overkill on the hub but I did the same when I ran one and ended up needing it down the road.

I have a clutched 8 rib alt pulley if you need one

got the fans mounted from Frozenboost (S&H got me a great deal!)

I ordered 10" seeing as how thats what the Afcos with fans come with, however they were a big large, no big deal - but I could have gotten away with 8" fans. I had to do some cutting . but DAMN do these babies flow. I hooked just ONE fan up and powered it on and it literally kept a heavy duty leather yard glove suctioned to the heat exchanger.

Also put the bumper on to make sure non of the mounting tabs showed up! GTG!

Here you can see how I had to cut the bottom of the housing off (I did this for clearance, as I didnt want it lower than the heat exchanger)

Here you can see where I had to cut the bracker off the heat exchanger.

Both Mounted (you see they are much larger than the exchanger it self, the way the are mounted like this, the fans are still pulling air from the top to bottom of heat exchanger)

Mounted with bumper on.

Also decided to paint a few parts.

looks good though, I thought about going with those fans except in the 12" for my radiator.

I'm glad to hear! I'm not as hesitant on getting them anymore. First though I plan on making some new brackets to move the radiator forward and all that and try to retain the stock fan first, if all else fails I will order some slim fans.

I have a 2.65" pulley I may be looking to trade. Easier to sell a DOB kit when it won't grenade any OEM motor out there lol
