Are you talking about main bearings for the crank?

Instead of replacing them...why not just use thicker oil to compensate for the extra clearance. Unless its totally out of spec.

Did you not check them during the build...?

the bearings they sold me were .0102 which is to tight but i went by what eagle told me i needed and i thought of it but just went with it so now for me not double checking clearances im in the boat im in now but i didnt bother too much with it due to the first build going smooth so from now on im not taking anyones words for it even if its the manufacture

i cant use thicker oil as the bearings had no clearance at all so im hoping i didnt scratch my crank too much hopefully just a polish and itll be good but wont be pulling it out for another two weeks till i get back from work.....

Are you saying you didn't check all your clearances before you assembled the engine? How do you know anything is right if you didn't check them. Your rod bearings and side clearance on the rods could also be off, if you didn't check them.

i didnt check the clearance on the mains i know i know idiot for not checking them (let the trash talking start towards me) it was an honest mistake as all my previous engines ive built ive never had any issues with them until this one

I'm not quite following. Are you saying the clearance is .010"? And you didn't have your machine shop check the clearance?

the crank was cut .010 on the mains due to the thrust area being repaired so i ordered my chamfered bearings from eagle specialties and told them the specs of the crank well they said i needed .26mm bearings so i bought them from them i assembled engine and all and never payed attention to the bearings being .0102 which are .0002 extra thick so i have u can say zero clearances which in turn supposed to be .25mm bearings .00984 which would give me a bearing clearance of .00016 or below.... does that make sense

.010" is about .25 or .26mm. You mean that you needed an oversize bearing for an undersized crank. The .01mm difference isn't much. Less than 2 ten thousands. That's within the acceptable tolerance of most measuring tools. It's not going to make much of a difference.

What clearance where you shooting for? The stock spec is .0009" - .0019". Most that I've assembled are right around .0015-.002".

When I called eagle and talked to a different guy as the one that sold me first time was no longer there said if my crank is cut .010 I needed the .25mm bearings not the .26mm ones as the 26 is a little thicker

Difference with the two bearings .25mm and .26mm is .00036 not good with thousands and ten thousands but is that a big difference between the two bearings

That number is ~1/3 of the total stock tolerance, so no, not big at all.

I foresee a mechanical oil pressure gauge being installed, and then a teardown.

On my motor i ordered two sets of bearings so I can make a complete thrust. I never used the washer. My oil pressure is low at idle 8psi when warm. Scared me, but I pulled bearings out 1 year later and they looked perfect. (Didn't even change them). WOT my pressure is at 80psi. What is your pressure at when you rev it?

my pressure stays at 10 psi when i rev it.... i took of filter relocation kit and put stock filter on side of block and idle is still 10psi when i rev goes to 50psi then drops as soon as i let off

Have you tried another pressure gauge? Maybe that one is bad. If it's reading 10# at idle, without the relocation filter setup, and 50 when you rev it, that's only about 20# low. It should be 20-30 at idle and go to about 70-80 at high revs.
