Yep, at 70mph in 6th gear, 2000 rpms, it will drone your brain right out of your head.

would an x-pipe help with the drone?

Not in my experience. That drone isn't going anywhere. It drove me nuts enough to swap back to some GT500's and the factory H. You may not be as bothered with it though.

Made a little progress on the disassembly phase of this wire tuck...
Battery/tray out, fender off, ECM/bracket out, fuse box/bracket out, WOT Box removed, windshield reservoir removed, and a majority of the factory loom removed.

Yeah, I may bite the bullet and just order some Borla stingers. Im pretty disappointed with the GT500's volume. At least they have a nice tone to them.

I know the GT500's sound great with Stainless Works long tubes and an X pipe. Buddy of mine has that set up on his '12 and it sounds great.

I do, and they are quiet. I love the sound of them, just wish that they were louder, like the Outlaws, without the drone. That would be a winner.

I agree. With my longtubes, orx, and resonator delete it was plenty loud.

GT500's and an o/r pipe is perfect, IMO. Loud when you want it to be but it's not going to piss off the neighbors.
