I agree with the others. I hate clones of any kind. Just not my thing. Its your car and if it makes you happy then that is all that matters but dont be surprised if people laugh at you.

Eh, it doesn't really bother me. I do get a lot of crap for it, especially on the internet (no one says anything to my face in a disrespectful manner).
I appreciate constructive criticism, and I can understand where the folks that don't like it come from. But I became obsessed with the idea of a track oriented v6 mustang, and I've been working towards that.

To you it is. I could care less what someone else does to THEIR car.

Some would say plasti dipping your wheels neon green and driving your car in the winter is but hey to each his own. :nk:

I will take every bit of hate for hideous coloring and styling, but this is tantamount to putting type r badges on a base civic.

The car seems all over the place to me, not one theme. GT grille, GT/CS spoiler and diffuser, and the boss c stripes. Doesnt make sense to me, lol.

Yep, GT500 mufflers on the car. That is the only thing though. No stripes, no badges, nothing. Looks like a stock GT for the most part, and hell, it even sounds like one with these quiet ass GT500 mufflers. Thanks Obama.

Yea, exterior definitely isn't close to how I want.
But all my money is going to built motor and suspension.
If you look up the Patriot boss, that's along the lines of what I'm looking to do with the exterior. The only difference are that I'm going to keep the halo rings (intercooler didn't clear my gt fogs), the spoiler is going to be a gt500 one, and the front valence won't be painted.

And fyi, the gtcs and boss diffuser are the same.

I actually like everything else. If the stripes were solid I would call it damn near perfect. A nice mixture of OEM and OEM+ always gets me.

But what would I know, trying to be a gt five hunnit with my quads.

Agreed. The car isn't the trainwreck you would assume by the hate he's getting.

alrefire,

Hey buddy it's your Mustang and as long as you are happy that's really all that matters. :thumb2:

I can tell you the guys on here do what they please to their Mustangs and other members might or might not like what they do.

They still do what they want just like I do with my Bullitt Mustang.

I learned a long time ago not to even ask what someone else thinks or likes what I do.

That way if you don't ask you don't have to read all the negative comments.

I really like the Red !!!

You same guys would like a gt500 conversion with badging on a gt. It fits into the same category as a v6 looking like a gt.

Not me, I guess I am more of a purist. It started way back with a buddy of mine with a 96 Cobra. He cloned it into a Saleen, used all genuine Saleen parts, even got the dash number and bumper number. It was a bad ass car, but it screamed poser. Those who didn't know, simply didn't know. I knew, and it bugged me since the day I found out.

If you get a V6, for whatever reason, don't try to make it into something it isn't. The name BOSS is simply not associated with a V6 Mustang. This guy made some shit up, slapped it on his car, and called it a day.

I almost did the front bumper at the same time as the quads, except rehagen gave me a silly price on a front bumper that was already painted DIB.

And before people scream double standard yadda yadda, the kid with the silver 09 pony package, the one that is completely done over. Yeah, that is OK. He never put GT, Saleen, Shelby, 5.0, nothing like that. His is fairly plain, even debadged IIRC. That is a whole different story.

As someone who has a Boss, you are OK with this shit?

Yes because it says Boss 227 or something, I forget. It doesn't say Boss 302 or Boss 351 or Boss 429. He isn't misrepresenting what he has. He didn't throw a Boss 302 grill in there with Boss wheels on it and put Boss 302 on the stripes. IMO he made it his own and I'm cool with that. Boss is just a name, it's the rest of the car that makes it, not the stripe.

The car seems all over the place to me, not one theme. GT grille, Boss 302 splitter, and the boss c stripes. Doesnt make sense to me, lol.

Fixed it for you . To each their own though you do get a lot of Boss 302 owners swapping in GT grills and putting out the fog light holes because it provides better cooling so he sort of has a Boss 302 type theme going on ....... If you want to really stretch it

Counting down the days until Spring!

I am all for the freedom of expression we as individuals have for our own particular rides. We each have our own tastes. As for myself I side with you. I am a purist at heart. I don't like doing too many things to my ride to make it stand out.

I like keeping things clean that look like they could have been options from the factory.

However, people have different opinions, and where sometimes I might not agree others do take pride in their work... on the FLIP side, you have those particular individuals that constantly end up visiting the wrong isle at autozone... for that it takes the combined effort of us all to do 1 of 2 things... guide them to the appropriate isles and websites... orrrr..... :chainsaw: some bitches.
