I was gonna do clear plastidip, but then I thought nahhhh, that's going to feel weird when people turn the vents.

So

I.. ahem, used several.... green.... scotch-brite pads on them. It takes a pretty long time, but I just followed the direction of the curves and kept going until the reflection was completely distorted. Turned out really good even in person.

Haha, that is awesome! Way to try something new. Came out great in my opinion. So great, that I thought he must have NOT used plastidip. :thumb2:

The potential is real! The wheels and colors are perfect bro. Lower it!!!

The city shut down yesterday due to ice, so I quickly became bored and finished up my chrome delete project on my dash. Looks a lot less cheesy without the chrome bezels, but it still looks pretty retro miami porno-ish :boobies:

Looks great as usual, Chris. I love how you innovate. Was it hard to make the dulling consistent? Did you take the bezels off first, or just tape around them? Thanks, man. Still looking forward to see what you do with the headlights.

Thanks all!

Thanks man, It wasn't too hard. I removed the vent bezels. I just held them up to a light source and rotated them so I could tell the (lack of) reflection was the same all the way around. I taped off the piece around the gauges, though. They aren't 100% perfect but I think they came out looking pretty cool.

Are those Vossen CV7s? I almost pulled the trigger on those. They look great. Looks like your car is tungsten like mine. Please post some daylight shots. I was waiting for someone with tungsten gray to post pics with these wheels. Thanks.

Yep they are Vossen CV7s. Wasn't really sold on the wheel till I saw them in person. The matte graphite color really works with the tungsten gray in my opinion. I'll post some daytime pics for everyone as soon as I have them.
