regrinds require shims. billets do not.
John,
What is the difference between billet and regrinds, is there a price difference and also, where do the "shims" go?
regrinds require shims. billets do not.
We have installed them in both cars with 3.31'sin autos as well as 3.55's in manuals.
As for the VCT Lockouts. There is only 2 ways to install them. You either set the VCT in the fully advanced possition or in the fully retarded possition... They slip right in.
When you say they slip right in - do you mean you do not have to re-time the motor? Just a little in the dark when it comes to this vct business.
Car will need to be re-tuned with the lockouts.
You're adjusting the timing in the cam gears. There is no retiming, it's either fully advanced or fully retarded.
You don't happen to have instructions for these in some kind of pdf do you? Just want to know exactly what I'm getting myself into.
