Hadn't been with this car in about 3 years. (2008 Saleen S281) Last time out I had 11PSI pulley, Brenspeed tune, Saleen Extreme CAI, 4.10 rear, BMR extreme rear anti roll bar, rear QA1 shocks, BMR adj upper and lower control arms, BMR adj panhard bar, Racestar skinnies and MT ET Street radials w/325 15 tires. On Race tune, 110/93 octane mix and the fat/skinny setup it went 11.83 @ 119mph on 1.8 60'. Fri it had 11psi pulley, Brenspeed tune, JLT 110mm CAI, 57mm TB, Accel coils, 4.10 rear, aluminum one-piece driveshaft, Exedy Stage 3 clutch and Exedy lightweight steel flywheel, Saleen extreme heat exchanger, N2MB WOT box, all stock tires/wheels and suspension on Street tune, 93 octane and street tires it went 12.8 @ 121mph on a 2.2 60' leaving at idle as it kept blowing the tires off. I only got one decent pass without either major wheel spin of missing a gear.

Im thinking with tire and race tune and race gas it should run around a 10.90. Needs a good driver mod as well as I shift like sheet. :rocking:

I think its time to upgrade to GT500 fuel pump sset up too because on the 121 mph pass I got a CEL for low fuel rail pressure. That was with the BAP at 75%. I turned it up but never got another good pass.

I'm not sure about 10.9 but you should be well into the 11's with that trap speed. I always preach to build from the ground up to have a fun successful build. Tires will be huge. That along with springs, shocks & struts, and some control arms and such will net you huge gains. I'm thinking you and I make about the same power and I'm almost a full second quicker.

Assuming everything is okay with your suspension, you'll just have to practice finessing the clutch off the line. I had a friend in almost exact scenario as you, with eerily similar mods as well. After I coached him for about 6-8 passes, he dropped from an average of around 2.0-2.2 60-foot times, to a new best of something like 1.53.

I suspect that your combo is capable of pulling a 1.40 - 1.50. If you pull a 1.45, that would be an 11.2 @ 121.

Inspect the suspension, make sure everything is okay, then practice finessing the clutch. You should be able to launch at 5000 or higher with no wheelspin.

I'm back on the stock suspension. Every piece. That's definitely part of the problem. I need to start buying the parts back and switch to some drag shocks and struts. I drove it in completely street trim. Didn't even take off the front sway bar. I sold all the drag racing stuff off it when I bought my Boss 302.

lol, good grief.

Why not start with a set of drag tires on some 17" stock wheels, see if you get where you want to be without much money. I don't really care how fast my car is but if I take it to the track I don't want to be spinning sideways into the pits. Good enough. If I wanted to run fast I'd get a rail. A _lot_ cheaper.

I wanted to see if I could run better than my last time out on street tires. The car was making less power back then so I was able to clock off a 12.4 with a 2.0 60'. I think the MPH was around 112 but that was 4 years ago. Ill prolly go back to a 15" Racestar with a MT drag radial.
