I'm not 100% sure if it's the intake per say but it's around there. I think it's the actual intake before the TB. Anyway to go about checking that?

And another thing is it does this very speradically
Drove it the other day and it ran PERFECT for 15 minutes. Then started running like shit and popping and surging again. It's pretty much like the cars bi polar.

Me likey, I thought u were gonna say Lotus which I'm also a big fan of. I wouldn't necessarily say though that any car is a waste of time to work on cause its always a way to explore, troubleshoot, and just straight up learn with.

Oh I learned alright. I learned I shoulda cut my losses while I was ahead lol. After getting stomped by a stock c6z when I was cammed/Paxton making over 500whp I shoulda stopped there. Live and learn though.

Car was built with a turbo stock heads and cams and a 6060
Put the motor that I took out of it back in that was running 100% fine when I took it out, the factory heads and cams that were on the car when I bought it so its 100% stock motor from when I got it same parts and everything. Once put back it just ran like shit. I've replaced all the parts I mentioned in the first post so idk why it's running so bad. And the trans is a factory 3650 with a factory clutch and driveshaft

My car would idle rough and lower than normal. Even died twice. Didn't throw any codes and it felt like it was missing. After compression tests, checking the plugs, cleaning the MAF and TB, etc., it turned out that the seal around the stock paper filter had been torn somehow and it was causing turbulent air to pass through the intake. Not saying this is your issue, but sometimes it can be something you'd never suspect. If you've got a factory air box, check the filter and make sure it's sealed around the edges.

You didn't let any wiring get between the bell housing and the engine block by chance?

Clean the throttle body and replace the front o2 sensors and check o2 sensor harnesses for damage.

Usually those codes are front 02 related.

So your p1298 code is your idm(injector drive module) module I would start there. Also check the voltage of the battery cause it can cause that code if the voltage is too low

The 2196 code is a 02 sensor code but it can be caused by the 1298 code

Can you link me to that? I've done tons of research for years and I've never heard of that part before. Couldn't find any info when I did a quick google search.

Factory tune with the o2s turned off and cmcvs off
