Got the car to track for the first time since the rebuild. Pretty happy with the time. Mph is lower than expected so that 750 hp is suspect. 4000 lbs with me in it so I was expecting 135. Pumps were at max duty cycle so I need to fix that. I am car on left.

Thanks. First time out with the new et street Rs. They hook awesome!

I made my first pass on 305/45-17 ET Street R's this weekend. Never got them to spin:

Crap, I didn't see the "r" ... Lol
Yeah they work great on the street ... We probably won't go to the track till some time next year at this point, but loving the car on the street.
Makes me consider selling my GT and getting an '11+ GT500

I love your GT, but can't argue with a 11+ GT500. The 5.4s have so much potential!

Nice trap for that da Albert!

Thanks Hamilton, the car felt great. I never realized how much DA could affect the time/mph until I moved here, it was somewhat depressing, lol. I hope to put in some 3.73s and 28" slicks. That should cure the 12.3 issue.

You're still rocking the stock 3.31's?

GF bought hers with 3.73's already installed and we've loved these gears all along ... perfect!

And oh yeah ... 5.4 potential ... never mind how awesome they sound by simply putting on some KR mufflers ... the tune also makes the exhaust pop like crazy ... love this car ... really makes my GT feel so inferior lately ... lol

Unfortunately, yes. When I had pulley, intake and tune she would hook most of 1st gear so I decided to leave the 3.31s on. When the TVS went on, first went out the window so bye bye 3.31s. I prefer to have a harder pulling 2,3,4 in that case with the 3.73s.

I will start dragging the car a whole lot more come beginning of next year so the 3.73/28" slick combo just makes more sense.

These cars do sound amazing with minor exhaust mods, even a simple muffler delete sounds great. Take off the cats though and it becomes a hell of a lot harder to get that perfect sound.

That sounds really good Cam!

Borla touring + off road h seems to be the ticket on these motors. I'm currently running off road h, dynomax resonators, and stock mufflers. Will probably make the jump to Borla eventually. They sound soo good.

^ Slightly different engine (4.6 3v) but my Bullitt also sounded great with the Borla Touring and off road H. With the supercharger I was blowing out the baffles in the stock Bullitt mufflers (3 pairs) and the flow through style mufflers were simply too loud. The Borla held up well without being too loud and had a nice deep tone.

Yeah I just wish these cams had been degreed. I went 10.88 without nitrous on the stock PJ cams. The Sterling cams weren't degreed and it actually slowed down a bit. Also pulled all the seats, louvers, sub, and sway bar for the 10.88 and ALL of that was in the car this weekend.

The nitrous DEFINITELY cooled the IAT's a BUNCH.

Yeah I recently heard a 2008 GT500 with no cats and Corsa Extreme exhaust on it, holy crap was that loud and obnoxious ... I can't believe somebody wants that when they're driving a powerful car ... I took off the Borla S-Types from my car cuz they were too loud after the blower went on, felt like I couldn't enjoy the power since I couldn't step on the gas without attracting huge attention to me ...

Lol....It's time to buy a house. We just had our 3rd kid and only have 2 bedrooms. I will be looking for a Yote after the house but for now I have to concentrate on a house.

Congrats on the kiddo John!

Mustang > kids:chainsaw:

I hate to see your car go! It was such a beautiful car and the color scheme was an envy of mine since I first saw the car.

I've let go of things I've had for family's sake and it was a decision I've NEVER regretted.

Don't go though. Hang out here for sanity's sake!:mario:
