I did that. I sent my wheels to Bogart and had the 3/4" spacers removed that are welded on them to make them fit our cars. They milled them off. Looks like your wheels are built different and I run a smaller front runner as well though.

There's not enough material on the Welds to mill them, they cut them down just right at the factory I guess. I tried to remove the strange rotor spacers but then the rotor was rubbing the outer tie rod end. Now that I got to drive the car a bit today and see it out of the garage I love the new look! looks way better than those balloon tires sticking out too far on the front lol.

Planning a trip to Bradenton next weekend, hopefully the weather will cooperate this time!

Looks KILLER Kyle!

I know you have a BMR K-Member, but do you have the tubular A-Arms? I am just swapping over now to the adjustable version so I can narrow the front track about 1/2" or so.

Thanks Scott, I'm really happy with it! Actually I have a UPR K-member since they offered it in chromoly, I have no complaints about it. I have a set of BMR a-arms on order from LMR's black friday special but have not received them yet. I saw what you're planning in your thread, are you sure it will work? I know the front will tighten in but what about the rear attachment?

See how the rear attachment is slotted in the picture above. These are the adjustable ones, the non-adjustable ones do not have slots.

Ah, now I see that! Pretty cool! Figures I ordered the non-adjustable a-arms my luck. Oh well I'm happy with my set up now anyway, just wanted to drop a few more lbs of the front mostly, and they look cool too of course.

Looking at the picture you have from the front of your car you already have more room than I do. Not the best picture angle but you can see why I want to narrow the track a little.

hey, I only recommend the best :)

Update: the tap arrived yesterday and I dove into it after work with success this time! Justin (Beachmonkey) recommended a spiral flute tap which is what I ordered and all I can say is damn! It cut through that spindle like butter lol. This is a bad ass tap:

Holes tapped, OEM ears cut off:

Caliper bracket and spacer:

Rotor and caliper installed:

Done!

For some weird reason my camber got messed up during this process, even though I marked the upper strut bolt, I had way too much negative camber anyway it was about -1.75 so I adjusted both sides to about -.75 using a method I found on You-Tube and what do ya know it actually worked! Just drill a couple holes in a level and install screws and a couple nuts then measure the difference from top to bottom while the bubble is level. 1/4" is very close to -1 degree, I ended up at .20. Looks much better now, and hopefully won't sway as much either.

Brakes are bled, ready to test drive and bed the pads tomorrow.

I ultimately ended up ordering BMR adjustable control arms which arrived yesterday. What's wrong with this picture?

^ Not seeing anything wrong unless you are missing the install hardware.

Edit: I see it now. Looks like Dylan fucked up!

They can probably just ship the end adj piece to you if you feel comfortable removing and installing the piece.

That would be nice, I'll be calling first thing Monday morning to find out.

I'll bite... My guess: they aren't on the car...

Well that's one thing, but the main thing is one of the rear brackets is for the non-adjustable type, it doesn't have the long slots. I was planning to install these this weekend but that's not gonna happen now, oh well!

Say, what are the snap rings for? I did not notice them in my adjustable A-Arm box?

Those snap rings were loose in the (BIG) box along with the grease fittings, I gotta say I was a little disappointed to receive them like that, doesn't seem like something BMR would do. Although shipping incorrectly built parts isn't like them either lol. Maybe they have temporary help for Christmas this year? In any case I'm pretty sure the snap rings are supposed to go on the ball joints, there's a grove in them just above the steel pad on the a-arm when installed. I assume that's where they're supposed to go.

Dylan explained those snap rings are not needed but sometimes they get thrown in the box anyway. I had to send my defective arm back and another one was sent out today, hopefully will receive it tomorrow. Also my OCD got the best of me and I ordered a real caster camber gauge, I was pleased to see one side was exactly -.75 like I measured with the level "gauge" from you-tube, the other side was a little off though. I also learned you cannot measure from the brake rotor since you get different results depending where the gauge is placed. Anyway I was able to combine my level and the real gauge to get good measurements and got both sides at -.50 degrees.

Also figured out my caster is out of range, less than spec. After looking at my k-member found it's all the way back as far as possible, which is okay since the motor is back too. And since I didnt want to mess with that again I ordered a set of Vorshlag CC plates yesterday. Those should get my caster back in spec and will be installed at the same time as the new a-arms.

Kyle, I believe your fixed arm is on its way back to you. I forgot to check for tracking before I left today, but Im fairly certain you should have a package tomorrow!
