Like you just said, once you get your Paxton Novi, you won't be able to use your C&L intake anyhow..
So you might as well sell it and then use that towards the Saleen setup.. I would think you'd be able get at least between $100-125.00 for your C&L street CAI, depending on the condition of course lol.

Then you'll be able to get your Saleen intake at half off or even more from the original $200.00 or so asking price.. Seems like a really great deal IMHO

Very sound logic! I should add that a Paxton Novi is in my build plans. So the CAI will eventually be pulled anyway. I suppose $200 or so for the Saleen kit isn't bad, and I could sell my C&L to cover part of the cost. Any potential buyers?!

Thanks for posting the pic! I'll see how it goes with the C&L for now and if I can quickly save up enough cash for the Novi 2200. That's my ultimate goal.

For now I'm gonna sell my stock 17x8s and put the funds towards some new front rims and NT555's along with some minor cosmetic updates. Hopefully that'll keep me satisfied through car show season.

So which air intake are you running with your Saleen stage 3 ?
As I know through personal experience that an Airaid CAI is not compatible with a Saleen VI blower, as the intake tube will not fit properly..

I was running the same Airraid CAI that is pictured here on my Saleen blower and there were no issues with the fit. It is the stock throttle body that the air intake hooks up to and I had the stock hood with just a slight bit of contact on the tube.

Mike.. I honestly don't understand how you didn't come across any fitment issues, as I also had an Airaid CAI that I took off my stock 05 GT before upgrading to my current 2006 GT which has the Saleen blower..

My 06 still has the stock throttle body along with the OEM hood, however the stock throttle body wasn't the fitment issue.. The issue was the alternator, as I was unable to attach the Airaid intake tube to the throttle body because the lower section of the intake tube would end up sitting directly on top of the alternator..

No matter how I tried to adjust the angle of the Airaid tube, I still could not get it to clear the alternator coming from the throttle body..

I also asked several vendors including Brenspeed, JDM engineering and Jason from 281 Motorsports and they all confirmed the Airaid CAI will not fit on a Saleen blower due from the re-positioning of the alternator..

So in the end, I had no other choice but to end up selling my Airaid CAI..

Anyhow, I'd really like to know how you were able to get your Airaid CAI to fit with your Saleen blower without any fitment or clearance issues and also if by any chance you happen to have any pics ? I'd be really grateful if you wouldn't mind posting them..

I looked around last night and couldn't find any pictures of it but I know he had to order an alternator relocation bracket as it wasn't included with the kit as it was supposed to be. Unfortunately I cannot ask the builder I had do that work as he is almost impossible to get ahold of and didn't provide any paperwork for me as he screwed me over pretty bad on my build. I had to fight for almost a year and a half just to get my car back and only half the work I had asked for was done. Next time I see my new builder that has the car now I will ask him if he can check if the bracket is different than the one provided with the Saleen kit. I will be going to see him next Saturday so will see what he says.

Thanks, I never did take him to court over it as The work I ended up having done wasn't worth to much less than the deposit I had put down so I considered it finished when I got my car finally got my car back. I will definitely ask him on Sat. and let you know what info I can come up with.

Glad to know that you didn't lose money Mike.. As like you said, your deposit covered the portion of the work that was completed.. However what sucks more than anything else, is that you still had to wait for over year and a half before getting your car back, which IMO is totally unacceptable.. I just hope this guy is no longer in business, as he's obviously a real douche bag..

In the meantime, I'll be looking forward in the info you find out from your current builder on Saturday..

He didn't know why there would be any issues as my airraid cai fit like normal and nothing was in the way of the elbow. I will take a few pics when mine is built again as i can't seem to find any pics from before.

Then I'm at a complete loss Mike.. As I tried every possible way and just as I said before, after installing the alternator bracket that came included with the Saleen kit, it re-positioned the location of the alternator and got in the way of clearing the Airaid intake elbow..

In the meantime, it would definitely be a great help if you can take a few of those pics for me when you get a chance, so that I can see the position of the alternator and how well your Airaid intake elbow clears it as well..

Yup i will get some pics. It will be a month or so though as he is having issues getting the parts we wanted as more and more is being discontinued for the 3v engines.

Mike ! After seeing your pics, I'm still stumped as to how you were able to attach the Airaid inlet tube to the throttle body and still clear the upper portion of the alternator with the Saleen relocation bracket..

I couldn't even attach the Airaid inlet tube to the throttle body due to the re-positioning of the alternator.. Unless the positioning of the Saleen bracket can somehow be adjusted/lowered ? The only other scenario I can think of in order for the Airaid tube to clear the upper portion of the alternator is by having the alternator re-clocked
