I read a post somewhere about painting the inside of fog lights... But cannot find it... Anyone have any experience with it?

I have a 2008 GT, want to darken up the front end so was thinking about the covers or film/tint.. But gave read that they kill the amount of light that the lights give off..

Wondering if painting the inside with a gloss black would still blackout the lights yet still give some reflection of the light..

Any ideas?

Painting it will take away the reflective properties, just get a light tint, much easier to install and will look better.

Wait, what? You don't want to tint them because it would reduce the light output, but you want to paint over the reflectors?

I has a confuse.

Maybe he missed science class in grade school and doesn't realize that black absorbs all the visible light bands. Or maybe , because those are the kind of ideas that pop into your head when you smoke the evil weed.

Now Cypress Hill is looping through my head. Maybe ultraviolet bulbs are available for the fog lights?! LOL

I used a light smoke (no pun intended) tint on my headlights, fog lights and corners. It does dim the lights a little but I can still see. You could try "bright white" bulbs with the tint though.
