Dam race cars are always fussy about something. LOl
Nah, my car is way too slow to be a race car lol
Kyle it has been awhile since I dropped by your thread. Christmas family Mustang pics look great. Congratulations on getting the cage certified. New steering wheel is way cool and good luck resolving the lock up and belt eating.
Thanks Scott! The new steering wheel is a bit smaller than the OEM, it takes a little getting used to, also you can feel all the bumps in the road a lot more sensitive somehow. I ran over a couple reflectors in the road this afternoon while changing lanes and was like what the hell was that! Felt like I hit something.
I resolved the belt getting eaten issue. Ended up deleting 3 more idler pulleys, basically ended up with a 48" belt routed like this:
I went for about a 5 mile test drive and the belt stayed on. Checked everything real close and didn't see any obvious signs of unusual wear or other issue so hopefully it stays fixed. I suspect the issue was related to the AC delete bracket and pulley I was running before, in any case it's gone now along with 2 other pulleys and all seems good. Now to address the damn tranny..
