I'm more concerned with not having an error code on my dash than I am with actually getting use out of TPMS.You can easily add an aftermarket system for less than $50 from Amazon. Vesafe Universal Solar TPMS, Wireless Tire Pressure Monitoring System with 4 DIY External Cap Sensors(0-6Bar/0-87Psi), Real-time Display 4 Tires' Pressure and Temperautre. (Gray Display) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01LA9LJFY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_6DdtEbHKSGQP5
Guess what? I got a flat tire today. If I had TPMS, I might have caught it before I left the house. Rim leak from pitted chrome.
How do you know I didn't? I could have checked them 5 days ago when I brought home my pickup with new tires from Discount Tires and added air to get the pressure I wanted since they wouldn't do it. You know, filled air compressor and pressure gauge in hand and all. But then you couldn't snark about it.If you checked your tire pressures once in a while, you would have caught it to.
I never said anything that would reflect that I can't tell how full my tires are by looking at them. Did you read this thread at all?Wow, I wish I could turn mine off. But to each their own. If you can’t In confidence look at your tires and tell if they’re low or at least check them then you shouldn’t drive. Guess they mandated this option in 2007 so since mine is newer it *has*. To have it. -_-

Ya people here informed me about that. Sounds like a little bit of a headache.FYI you can switch off the TPMS light and alarm with forscan software.
No? You’re reading into my comment all wrong.. I’m just saying I wish I could turn mine off. And the fact that these are mandated now is ridiculous. If you drive a car, you should know how to check your tire pressure or tell if they’re low. Not have some stupid screen ding at you when it’s lowI never said anything that would reflect that I can't tell how full my tires are by looking at them. Did you read this thread at all?
Yes it is not so easy. The whole system would be useful if one can see the actual pressure in the display. So, its a dumb system only to obey the federal rule.Ya people here informed me about that. Sounds like a little bit of a headache.
This is Ford’s fault. I had a 07 Silverado that the TPMS worked faultlessly.. So, its a dumb system only to obey the federal rule.
I have a friend with an 06 350z and it lists the tire pressure of each wheel individually. It's actually useful. This is Ford’s fault. I had a 07 Silverado that the TPMS worked faultlessly.
