Wow im proud of ya GriffX. Im 74 and not a senior member yet. And your driving supercharged sports cars. Man that gives me inspiration.
I've been living my midlife crisis since I bought my first Mustang (95 GT automatic) in Dubai back in February 2007. :D I wanted a manual but couldn't find one anywhere in the UAE. I'd heavily modified that one and improved the performance from 16.0 @ 89 to 13.8 @ 103 NA. However I never liked automatics (this was a Japanese spec car and the only automatic car I've ever owned) so the next one had to be a manual.
Fast forward to October 2013 when I sold the 95 GT for more than I paid to buy it and bought Scarlett. There was never any chance of leaving her stock but, thankfully, the mod list was much shorter this time since I was starting with a much better base.
Now at the age of 62, it's good to know there are Stangers who are much more senior than me. Hell, even the legend Carroll Shelby was driving Mustangs well into his 80s! :D

In my case I guess it's a third childhood thing. Going with the color theme for a car name(Scarlet) mine would be whitey or maybe cracker. Still thinking. Kyle i am watching you in the tune thread and trying to learn. Went back thru this post for prep for Sunday. I don't know what calibration my wideband( Chinese)is. Using Shell 93 but think it's probably 10 percent corn.

Looking at car im thinking I need to disconnect the valve cover breather tubes from intake and inlet air and install oil collection cans.

Will plugging the intake oil vapor line change AFR? The right side valve cover goes to inlet tube so it is metered and plugging that shouldn't change things. Thanks

Not a good idea! The passenger side valve cover draws fresh air into the crankcase. Leave it connected to the intake tube and install a catch can on the driver's side.

Dino, Brother I know you know these frontwards and backwards so humor me please. Wouldn't there be a positive pressure in the crankcase? Especially on my motor with worn rings and valve guides and a negative pressure in the intake tube? Thanks

The vacuum side of the PCV is the driver side where it goes into the intake manifold.

The passenger side where it goes into the CAI is pulling filtered air into the crankcase.

Vacuum being applied to the PCV system helps overall performance and ring seal, reducing drag, etc. generally you want to keep the PCV intact but put a catch can on the driver side (vacuum side) of the PCV.

If your engine has worn rings, I suggest you install a catch can on the passenger side as well as the driver's side.

Not sure of density altitude 85* clear and windy.
but it was a nice day. I made five runs getting faster every run. We got to track and went to tech. Filled out a name and address put a number on car and went to line. First run I missed second gear and 16. @95 , next was 15,s 3rd was 14,s and last two were 13.8 @101 with a 1.94 60. and 13.7 @101 with a 1.8 for my best 60 bogging off line at 4k. Wind was 15mph plus quartering head wind that switched to crosswind last two runs. I had my grandson video my runs but only thing I could learn was that I bogged leaving at 4k on last run. I started at 14 psi and 5500rpm couldn't tell what was going on because there were still 100 plus cars there at 2:30 and ones next to me were running big stuff, eights to nines. I learned some but im not even close to 12,s

MPH is about what I would expect for a stock car on a mostly stock tune, but that really depends on the DA. It can change very quickly by thousands of feet in an afternoon and will slow down the car immensely if it’s high. The launch is definitely the hardest part, and a 1.9 60’ isn’t bad for street tires.

What RPM were you shifting at?

What's the altitude at the track? It's sometimes on the time slip.

From what I learned today I need 50 more horsepower. If everything is good, launch, shifts etc... im thinking low 13,s . I was shifting at 6200 on last runs. So I need at least 500 more rpm and be able to shift better. Something older people can expect is things happen alot faster than they used to. A little practice will help. I was crossing line at 4500 so more gear and hp or 50 hp to get it to 110 plus and close to 6k. Not sure what rpm dropped to. I will have to find that out. I guess if car has worn out shocks, struts, engine and poor driver it wasn't that bad.

I think track is just over 800ft. Car was very warm first two runs i kept letting it cool down alittle last two.

Your time is close to that of a stock '10 GT and your 60' time is better than mine!
Your car is probably feeling the effects of 180k miles so refreshing the engine and suspension would certainly help. You said your engine has worn rings. Do compression & leakdown tests to see how bad they really are.
If you were crossing the line at 101mph and 4500rpm, you must have been in 4th gear so you were definitely upshifting too early. You couldn't have gone higher than 6000rpm in 3rd. If you had hung on until 6500 and avoided the 3rd to 4th shift before the 1/4 mile trap, you would have significantly improved your time slip.

I tried to shift at 6200 last two runs but unsure of where rpms dropped to. i was surprised to see such low rpm,s at line as I was in 4th for awhile. I've not practiced on street much but am sure car should run low 13,s with another driver. I did a 1.8 on last run and car bogged off line so I know I can improve on that. Not knowing what was going on leaving line was hurting and being reluctant to drop psi in slicks as car got squirrely on deceleration on second run still at 14psi. I was talking with a guy that thought I might have hit a spill or something so I did end at 12psi
