Yes, they are a feedback system - they monitor input angle change vs actual angle and if the tune tries to change their retard/advance and it doesn't happen, it will throw codes and may go into failsafe...old thread but need to ask something, is a tuned needed after locking up the phasers?

Been a strange, busy year...
I hop on hear to review the latest posts and get about 3/4 through that and get pulled away by something else...
The torque for the bolts is 210 in lbs with blue/medium strength thread locker.
If anybody has any other questions feel free to ask.
Great write-up by the way!
Thanks
Mike
No way it's 210 in-lbs! You'll strip the threads before then. The threads start to yield at about 170. When I put my limiters in, I stopped when they wouldn't take any more torque. My buddy didn't and he ruined one phaser trying to get it to 210.
85 in lbs is what ive been told , I did 89 in lbs on mine.bringing this from the dead.....i agree,im doing a set right now and i can not go that far.....feels like they will strip!
anyone know what the deal is?
BBR instructions say 210 also
