I am installing my rears over the holidays and looking some insight on spring orientation... does it matter how these go in as it is not as straight forward as normal lowering springs as you would typically put the tighter coils on the top???

Here's a picture I snapped that shows a comparison to my stockers with the CJs on the left. So can someone tell me which end is the top/bottom??

+1! I am already lowered in the front and only need the rears!

Just go find a cheap set of used V6 springs as they are one in the same. There was a set on MF for $30 plus shipping.

Thanks :beerchug2:

There does not seem to be too much difference between the 2 ends, but wanted to check it out before installing

Are you sure? I have a hard time believing that Ford would build a purpose built drag car and use off the shelf V6 springs.

This has been debated quite a bit and the consensus was just as I stated. The p/n's on mine crossed to the same p/n found on a '09 V6 Premium Coupe.

My CJ spring tag p/n's are as follows:
Front- 6R33-5310-FA
Rear - 9R33-5560-AA

Just be sure to check part numbers... Some V6's had 5R33-5560-BC springs, which is what is already on my GT. The ones you want are 5R33-5560-AC.

For $70 shipped I will get the CJ's and take the UPR/Eibach's off and sell them..the CJ's should lower me and do well for a DD/track day.

When i changed my rear stocker springs for the CJ springs, the ride height changed fractionally 1/8-1/4".Not even noticeable to the eye.I did not notice a difference on my launches either FYI.Its a cheap mod & easy to do,give it a try.

Mine are installed with the tags down, just like the stock ones came out.
Not saying it's the right way though.

Which Eibach's were you using-the Pro Line or the Sportlines? Did you switch all 4 or just the rears?
