I will add some more info here

So this winter a few things Im doing to the stang

Apr carbon fiber dash kit (real carbon fiber replacment)
Apr carbon fiber centre console (real carbon fiber replacment)
Apr carbon fiber rear diffuser
Jlt's new carbon fiber "cold air" kit
Jlt carbon fiber rad support
Strange front drag brakes
Strange rear drag brakes (this is a maybe right now)
Lightweight front and rear bumper beams
Remove crap under the carpet, scrape the floors bare and paint everything inside to match exterior of car (like I did my trunk)
I will be removing my passenger side air bag
Remove the matting on the firewall

Carbon fiber fenders and trunk is up in the air right now...

I would love to drop another 100 lbs but at this stage that I am at it is getting harder and harder without making it a race car and making it "look" gutted. If anyone looks at my car they cannot tell where all the weight came off.

It sounds messed up but someone mentioned titanum bolts.... that may save some pounds

Not everything I mentioned is going to shave majour weight but im doing it anyway lol

Remember, the little stuff adds up. Removing 5lbs in 20 areas is the same as removing 100lbs in one. :naughty1:

Well that is true. :lol2: I think you've taken more weight out of your car than anyone else on this forum.

im trying to figure out how to lose weight in my car without breaking the bank here . This is what i got so far.

starting weight: 4052lbs w/ driver and 3/4 tank fuel
3812 w/o driver

Start racing on half a tank of gas - 4 less gallons at 6.25lbs will net me 25lbs

replace 6 gallon coolant tank for s/c with 2 gallon tank. Water is 8.35 lbs per gallon so i should save 33lbs in fluid alone. Then i can remove the larger intercooler pump and I'll switch to the smaller lighter bosch pump for a 4lbs savings. This will eliminate the lines that run the length of the car and lose at least 30 feet in rubber hose which is aproximately 9lbs. I will lose the actual 6 gallon tank itself and repalce it with a smaller unit for an aproximate 2lbs savings.
Total savings: 48lbs

I can repalce the Optima D34/78 piece of fucking shit battery with a Braile battery and save 33lbs
http://www.braillebattery.com/index.php/batteries/b14115/#

I can remove the rear seat belts, hardware and bolts for 9lbs. I was contemplating a rear seat delete kit but they look so plain, so, well liek crap. I guess its a function over form thing but for the 20lbs I think ill just leave the rear seats there and remove the hardware unless another option presents itself

Trunk Trim - Side panels and plastic piece that covers the lower latch and both struts -5lbs. Im debating this as i do have some wires back there that this carpet and material protects but ultimately i think itll go

Evap matarial under trunk - 18lbs

Grand total weight Loss - ~120lbs
Weight of Car - 3914lbs w/ driver
3674lbs w/o driver

Shes still a fat pig. I myself plan to lose about 40lbs and have already lost 20 of it over the past month due to a much healthier diet and exercise so since all my figures include the fat driver:

Weight of car w/ driver - 3874lbs
3674lbs w/o driver

total weight lost - 178lbs

I have also thought about doing racing seats. I want to know however, what about the stock seats, non airbag, are so damned heavy? Id like to keep the stock seats if at all possible and cut some weight out of them but thats just wishful thinking. Its hard to justify spending close to $600 on seats that arent nearly as comfortable, and will only net me about 65lbs. I may do them but id liek to try to find other ways to remove weight so Im open to suggestions

I have also considered Bogarts again which would save !88lbs more but I w3ant to be able to drive to the track, race, and drive home, not worrying about bringing rims/tires in the car, changing them at the track, ect. If the damned things could be light and driven on the street it would be such an easy decision

I already have the BMR Kmember and BMR A-arms, steeda rad support, no front swaybar, ect. The A/c powers the kilelr chiller so that cant go anywhere.

so anything im missing?

I don't think youre missing much considering major weight reduction stuff.

Lets see..... If you do all of those weight reduction mods you plan on, your car is at 3674 without driver. If you add bogarts/racing seats/rear seat delete, then you're at about 3505. The S/C/intercooler adds considerable weight, but I'm wondering, even after ALL of that, how can your car still weigh 410lbs more than Matt D's(without driver)? Do you have a shaker 1000 stereo system?
