so whats different with the car to run these times? wes's tune?

the cams I put in a month or to ago and a DA of 50.......lol.

THis run was on Wes" tune and I ran a 7.88 on the other tune. Still getting data logs for Wes' tune. He said since he doesn't have my car there, he will take it up slowly anstead of burning the thing up with an extremely radical tune, and I can appreciate that. I will be going down that way (Lafeyette) around the end of Feb and will swing by and get it on the dyno

Do you believe the cams and delete plates help? I'm debating doing NSR cam and delete plates. I can't get out of the 8.00 1/8 mile and im hooking good!

I have no idea if the delete plates help as I did them about the same time as I did headers. THe cams dropped my 1/8 mile E/T at the most .12. I should have went with different cams and will around late March or April. I think it just took a combo of ALL of the boltons and the cams and some really good air to get that E/T. My intent is to be able to run those time in the heat of the summer. I would think just about any car that runs low 8's in the heat could easly run in the 7's with good temp and air.

I wish I would have went the 127500's cams instead of the 200's.penny wise and dollar foolish.

yep..........I was too lazy to change the springs......this WILL NOT be the case come springtime......just look at it as "lesson learned", just as I am. Maybe I can sell my '200's and get some of my "pennies" back. In retrospect, changing the cams was not as bad as I thought it would be. I am getting an air compressor for Christmas so I will have a way to keep pressure on cylinder while I change the valve springs and not have to pull the heads.

I've been sitting back seeing you guys regret buying the 127200's, so that makes my decision of the 127500's even more solid. Thanks guys, it really helps to see you all buy and test things, it helps my decisions a lot. Too bad that Summit Racing coupon that would take 10%(80 bucks) off of the price expired today. :mad2:

ummm for me "regret" may not be the word, they definitely proved to be woth the time and effort. Maybe "wished" would be a better word.....but anyway glad to be of service. I'm sure you will do the same for us by the time it's all said and done.......lol.

Now I have to go meet the wife to do Christmas shopping :chainsaw:

Lol yeah I will, after the new mods(at least cam's,lt's, shooting for 4:10's and heads too) I will post dyno numbers, how the car drives, and track times if it's raced. ;) I can settle on saying that I saw that you guys wished you got another cam instead lol.
