haha.. Thanks.. you must have lost some IQ points going through my threads.. some of it was fun and there might be something useful.

Today I re-gaped the plugs to 0.37, maybe later I might need to go lower but we will see.. Also, I removed the SLP's(Don/hawgs/ropers) and went back to the stock mufflers. The H-pipe without cats and slp's were too much noise.. I could not believe how much sound the stock muff will kill.. I almost sound stock again. In a way it feels a little more relaxing that I can hear my stereo. Also, this might sound strange but the car feels smoother. I dont know if its because there is a little more back pressure or what.

Questions I have is now... let say no cats with SC and slp's(no muffler) make 30hp more. Now I just replace the slp's with the stock mufflers. How much of a difference would cut into my HP gain? Would it be worth it to look for another after market muffler? If it just kills the sound and not the power then I'm good.

Also, to make this an official lost soul. I'm driving back home and one of my new Halo lights took a dump and I only installed them 2 weeks ago and maybe used it for 2 hours! The main light works.. but its the top halo that died out. I'm past the 60 day warranty... anyone know how to fix it?

Congrats on getting the car back and running. I think I'm gonna switch back to a quieter set of mufflers myself. The noise gets to ya after awhile.

Magnaflows guys with LT's and O/R "X" is the perfect tone. no drone, just nice hearty muscle car sound.....lol

Not enough to worry about . , I dyno'd mine with magnapacks , stock , and roush extreme ( basically muffler deletes like slp's )

I have the long tubes, off road h and wanted the same thing Lost Soul. I eventually decided withthe FRPP GTA mufflers. The GT's were just way too loud!

yea.. but if I was not in Nazifornia I would have left it on. I miss the loud nose, I just didnt want to wipe out the gain I got from killing the cats.. one of which was mostly melted and maybe could have lost another engine =-/

That's right.. the 4 words you have been waiting to hear for 4 years!!!!

All I have to say is Tony from HP Performance is the man and made me a believer. I was not sure about putting too much faith on someone I didnt know, but he earned the respect today. After 3-4 years of tuning hell from 6-7 tuners, Today I can say my car is running perfectly! No cold start issues, no bogging, no popping.. just smooth and fast

When we started he pulled the car to the side and started to datalog and adjust the tune.

1) my car was running very lean (all this time I thought my new wideband didnt work.. haha)

2) The tune that was in there was so off it was pathetic.

3) after fixing that, we still had stumble issues when stepping on the gas... we pulled out the plugs(only a month old) and put new ones in. When we did we found one with the porcelain broke apart.

with all 3 of those the car sounding a whole lot better

4) started to tune and after the 3rd run things changed some how.. after the 6th time I saw the TB sleeve pop out. Mine was a gay soft rubber so when we upped the power the pressure popped it out many times. TPS found a replacement and saved my ass. Even that almost didn't hold.. I need to hold it down with t-bolt clamps.. either way it was enough to get me through it.

after all is said and done I ended up with 527rwhp and 449TQ on a hot ass day. Tony told me I could easily go 50 or more if my fpdm was not maxed out and told me to get a gt500 kit. (I F'ed up my gt500 donation =-/)



He took the time to show me everything not just rattle it off.. he took the time for each issue to try to fix it instead of passing it off and leaving me hanging like so many others.

I need to schedule things out now..

-trip one is to Fontana : I put my stock 235's back on an smoke every gay sonic blue car I can find.

-Then head to Texas and take out every short angry old F@ck out there that live life real in Texas.

then I will.. ummmm.... errrrr... damn.. this cant be the end of my story and thread???????...................

I got it done yesterday at TPS, in campbell. They had Tony fly there for training. It was pretty damn hot for sure. Maybe I can say I have 600 but only at night.. hahaha

Tony was laughing at me because I had my AAA membership on the passenger seat. I was prepared for anything

Either way I can hop in the car and drive without worry and 10 min of warm up. But this cant be the end of my thread... maybe Ill bring it back once I find the gt500 pumps for cheap and have him re-tune it.
