I have a friend who has a Shaker 1000 System that is complete. Head Unit, all speakers, amps, and sub box. I currently have the Shaker 500 System. Can these two be swapped out? ANyone have any advise??
He has everything. All speakers, h u, amps, everything.
I'm pretty damn happy with my shaker 1000. I don't have to worry about fuses, or wires all over the car, or any of the other common problems with aftermarket systems.
I do understand the aftermarket systems can sound much better, but the Ford stuff is pretty good.
Ignorance is bliss.
Maybe I'm getting old too. lol.
I haven't bothered upgrading from my 500 either. I can't see bothering as I can't hear it over my exhaust anyways, lol.

Based on what exactly? I conceded that aftermarket systems can sound better. However, having a plethera of wires running under my carpet, combined with some fancy already outdated amp mounted somewhere that ties into a giant sub box that takes up half my trunk...No thanks. Been there.

You are obviously content with your Shaker 500. Great.
If your buddy has those same speakers, he'd be one of a handful in the U.S. According to Audison, there have been less than 5 imported in at this time. Amazing speaker. I'm a huge SQ guy and have yet to hear anything that rivals them at this point.![]()
