Needing more power!
EDIT: Corrected RWTQ value.
---------------------------------------
Made 500 RWHP ~ 457 RWTQ (SAE corrected) with 17.5 degrees timing. This was a single dyno run with no real cool-down ~ dyno technician made 2 test runs to calculate drivetrain loss, then a few minutes at idle (with fan blowing), then the full pull. That's it!
I had the car dyno'ed at a local tuning shop called Schropp Tuning (http://bit.ly/bJpg7F) here in Germany. They use a Superflow AutoDyn 883 AWD Dyno (a.k.a. "The Lie Detector") which measures DINPS and DINNm for HP and TQ. Attached is the dyno sheet (converted to SAE), the dyno run data, and the SCT datalogs (zipped file w/ .csv & .xls) of the run. On the data sheet, the 'Rad_L Hp' is the rear wheel horsepower numbers, as well as DIN numbers, and the Lambda (1 & 2) readings. Max RPM was 5891.
IMO, the A/F ratio was spot-on for the upper RPM pull:
0.78 Lambda = 11.47 :1 AFR
0.77 Lambda = 11.32 :1 AFR
On the dyno sheet you will see 3 colors:
-Red is Engine HP (551.7)
-Blue is Engine TQ (545.0)
-Green is RWHP (499.7 @ 5567 RPM)
I am very happy with the numbers especially on the the first and only run! I'm at the limit of the stock short block so no more for me!
Many thanks to Team JDM for giving me an excellent tune and for the great customer service!
-Mitch
P.S. Mods are: Edelbrock E-Force Comp Kit with 3.25 pulley, Thump Racing tensioner, Comp Cams NSR 127200 cams, GT500 pumps, 60lb injectors, Kooks 1 3/4" headers, 3" O/R X-pipe, 3" Magnaflow exhaust, and Powerhouse 4" alum. D/S. I think that's it.
