I have yet to see an E-Force Mustang at our local tracks, even though I know several people who have them around here. Post up some #'s when you get to the track so we can see how they perform. I suspect that at your power level that mid 11's around 120 mph would be likely.

That's what I am hoping to see... and my soon to be installed NT05R DR's (285/40/18) should help me get there. My only concern is the driver mod as I have not been to a track in a long time!

Even w/o the driver mod, your trap speeds will be roughly the same, regardless. I bet you'll trap at around 120. It's the ET's that will fluctuate wildly until you've got the launch & shifts under control. Once you get those figured out you'll work your way down into the mid 11's.

The cams and meth shouldn't show a drop off in torque, so that leaves the TC as the item I'd look hardest at to explain the flat spot. I could be wrong, but that's where I'd look first.

I thought that too, but it wasnt consistent with the new Tc, cuz it did the same thing with the stocker. I originally thought the drop off was from the stocker, but it still does it with the new one...

Other than a tune and drag radials, her car is stock. I believe she ran a 12.29, 12.29, and a 12.30 last Saturday.

She's been drag racing for a few years, so she has experience. She had a '93 Mustang LX 5.0L 5 speed and she could shift with the best of them. Her '11 5.0L is an automatic car (she plans on bracket racing). It is 100% factory stock except: drag radials and an SCT tuner with a canned tune. Her car has never been on a dyno. I've seen her car run as quick as 12.29 and as fast as 115 mph (at Bremerton Raceway - click here to see those runs).

The fast car in her household is her husband, Dave's, 2003 SVT Cobra. It's modded and runs 11.50's @ 120. He also has a '70 Mach 1 428 CJ that is the "slow" car of the bunch - LOL - with all the new Mustangs whoopin' it! The video below is Dave's SVT Cobra putting the hurt on an 11 second Challenger SRT-8 at Pacific Raceways a few months ago...

Almost makes me wish I would have spent the extra for an auto :)

Who could have known that the new '11 5.0L's with automatics would be the hot ticket at the drag strip!?!? I think the automatic in the '05-'10's are great, too, as they launch easy with stock suspension even with big power (unlike the manual transmission GT's).

Impressive.

I would've got an auto as well if I drag raced the car more frequently. Hard to beat it from a dig. Manual transmissions are just to much fun though. ;)

I agree, rowing through the gears is fun. However, I think I might do a C4 or TH400 swap.

On a side note, last weekend I went to the dyno where all my tuning has been done. Since the last visit there, I've added the x-pipe (catted) and GMS coil-on-plugs and picked up 29 rwhp putting me at 393 rwhp now....
