Not a fan of bad cops. The cops on SVTP day a cop can arrest and ticket you on private party, impound your car for even going 1 mph over the limit, etc. I obey the law, however, most cops expect people to bow to their authority. Take the badge off, the uniform and gun, guess what? You're just like the rest.
I've had a fee experiences with cops that have forced me to lose my respect for them. I won't let a cop boss me around to an unreasonable extent whether or not he is the law (judge dredd) or not. A lot of cops are hypocrites. They give us tickets for speeding. Yet, they are above the law an don't get ticketed for speeding, reckless driving, etc.
As one guy said, respect is earned. If more officers did the right thing by people and actualy punished the ones that really deserve it people would respect them. People shouldnt fear cops because of the tough guy asshole cops that are on the force. People texting, tailgating, weaving in traffic, etc should be published. I always hear about people that get super expensive tickets for going 5 over, etc. Yes, I fully understand police have a job to do. Well, that is too much to ask. Cops can bend the laws to fit their need of any situation and are apparently the judge, jury and executioner in every situation.
Op - you got busted doing something pretty stupid. While 99% of the people that say follow the laws( which I think are morons) break the law themselves. No one person is perfect. Everyone that owns a sports car will eventually speed, or play around on the street, etc. Most won't admit they do.
