Mine is my daily driver. I bought it in January 2009 and drive it all four seasons. It has over 40,000 miles on it and I'm on my second set of snow tires. I've also put somewhere between 2,600 and 2,800 miles on it on road courses during track days. So, not only is it an all season, daily driven car I also track my daily driver.

No garage queen here, I DD mine rain or shine. Why save the miles for someone else to enjoy.

Mine was purchased as a DD and gets 70 miles put on it everyday. The only time I dont drive it is when it snows. Now my Fox on the other hand, its lucky if it gets driven once a month. Seems kinda backwards doesnt it?

I don't think I could bear to not drive my Mustang that often. My 89 Mustang got pulled off the road due to new emission laws, I still drove it at least once a week, I just couldn't let it sit in the garage an not get driven.
At one point I had two Mustangs and a truck and I still drove every one of them every week.
If I don't drive something that often then I don't need to keep it around.

whyyyyy!! that's like paying a hooker for a conversation :mad2:

I didnt buy mine as a DD, had no intention to or need. I use my first car as an example. 72 Gran Torino Sport. Got it from the original owner with 47??? miles. Lived at home so I didnt have to drive it all the time. Moved out here had to drive it all the time. Now its far more worn and 89K something miles. The GO is my first "new from scratch" car. I want it as fresh 20 years from now as it is now. I look at it like a chick. A chick will age, get wrinkly, w/e. Sure, you might have a lifetime of memories, but it just wont be the same in 20 years. Wont be the same kind of excitement, enthusiasm.

You guys who DD, knock yourself out. But shit, some of you will have worn the car out in less than ten years. All that DDing isnt adding to the "fond memories", its just the mundane task of driving that could be performed by some other FAR MORE "throwaway" car.

Also, for me, the DD V6 I drive gets better mileage. Plus, regardless of wear, mileage, fuel costs, the more you drive, the more you put yourself at risk for a crash. Eventually it will happen.

I can still accumulate "fond memories" going to shows, cruise ins, club road trips, track days, w/e and still look upon the car as fondly many years down the road with its still fresh paint, nice, barely worn interior, while still getting the approving thumbs up from passers by as they recognize the fine shape "that old Mustang" is in. Thats my view.

No one would look at my Torino in its current shape and think "Hey, thats a nice old car". Not going down that road again as long as I can avoid it.

Lastly, as the saying goes, "Absence makes the heart grow fonder." So for me, long gaps between driving the GO makes each drive more thrilling than if I was DDing. Just like a chick. Guys cheat because they get tired of banging the same hole day after day.

I DD my Mustang. It's a regular GT, nothing special about it except what I personally get out of it. In 20 years, will it be worth anything? I don't care if it is or isn't worth "money" because I bought it to enjoy it. Now, my "mundane" daily driving tasks are SO much more fun!! I've yet to have a "mundane" drive in this GT. With proper maintenance and care, my 20 year old 2011 Mustang GT will be in great shape for resale.

The memories my son and I will have of modifying and driving this car together are worth far more than what a garage queen car would ever provide!

Just messing around with the camera this past weekend and this was as low as I could go. I'll get some more but I'll have to jack up the car cause I can't get underneath it as low as it is. LOL:crazy:

I can agree with you, but really comparing a car to a chick, if thats what you'd consider someone you'd be with for 20 years, isnt a really good comparison. I drive mine only about 10 miles round trip daily, but it stays outside rain or shine. It gets washed once a week minimum if the weather allows, and I'm planning on having it for a long, long time. If in 20 years it looks like a worn out old hag I'll haven't no one but myself to blame.
My 89 Notchback had 165K on the chassis and most of the stock suspension parts and was 24 years old when I regrettfully decided sell it, and I wish every day I still had it, rattles and all.
Cars are cars. I plan to enjoy them, and if in 20 years it needs some freshening up I'll do it, and it'll be nice and new again.
Maybe your comparision wasn't to far off, take the old lady in for some work and she'll be new again, too.

I only drive my car in summer months...I think it has 16xxx miles now. A lot of the miles I have put on the car were from a trip to Louisiana to see my aunt and Hot Rod Power Tour in 08,09, and '10 so I do enjoy the car.

I just don't want to drive it in the winter and have a rust bucket in 10 years.

yeah see mine is driven from March-September or November depending on how well the weather stays.. Then its tucked away in the garage during winter.

Id drive the holy hell out of it if it was a regular GT but since its a bullitt, and this may only just matter to me but id like to keep it in good shape. And its my baby!

My 'Stang is my main method of transportation, so I drive it every day to work and back, which is a 60-mile round-trip commute. It's also my 400-horsepower grocery getter. Personally, I like driving a highly-modified, stoopid-fast, "impractical" car to run errands, but I don't know why. The longest my Mustang sits is when it waits for me at the airport when I'm on a business trip. Heck, the poor thing is probably in the airport parking garage crying right now because I'm on a trip and it hasn't been driven in a few days.

I've got an old Mopar that sits in the garage and is only driven on nice days during the spring, fall, and summer.

I guess I'm going to have to get some winter tires later this year.

I have since the day I bought it. Every....single......day......60 miles.......

Since my wife went overseas I drive her fusion to save some gas and wear on the car. I tell you its numbing going back to driving a regular car daily.
