who knows when the car will be done and driveable now. I have no clue when my damn SHR flush louvers will be here. I ordered them a month ago and the louvers still have not been painted. The mustang car show I was planning to attened(part of the reason I even decided to repaint) is May 28th. I have already booked hotel rooms and got time off work. Apparently for nothing. WTF am I to do now. Bullshit like this pisses me off. Espeacially after I notified them when I ordered them I needed them asap. The had arrangements to get them to me within a week after ordering them. Now over 2 weeks later they havent even made it to the paint shop. Ok, rant over. I had to let some of that out.

where did you buy your SHR Flush Louvers from - on here?

America muscle?

Bought them directly through SHR. They say they will try to get them to me by wednesday, but I doubt it happens.

Thanks. Hope your process goes smoother than mine is. Everything that can possibly fight me is doing just that. I just have to keep telling myself it'll be worth it in the end.

I was planning on attending the Eureka Springs show. But didnt make it. still have to put brakes on and my louvers. SHR called friday and the louvers were shipped that day. Hopfully soon.

Update? Did you make it to the car show today?
Nope, decided to hold off and not rush it.

1. 6 coats of primer was applied total but not at once. Sand out your chips scratches, level body filler what ever. Prime 3 coats, block sand with 220, 3 more coats on, wet sand with 500. Yes it was a DTM primer(direct to metal)
2. Usually 3 coats of base. Just depends on what you are doing. General rule of thumb is how ever many coats to cover plus 1.
3.Usually you only put on 2 wet slick coats of clear. Put 2 coats regular clear, and then one very wet coat of High build "glamour" clear on mine. Takes longer to cure out, but gave me the extra clear I wanted for wetsanding and buffing.

Hope this helps

I hope to have pics up soon. Car is back together and I am driving it. Just waiting on my louvers to get here.:mad2:

The louvers came in yesterday! I will be putting them in tomorrow, along with new brake pads, one rotor, and one caliber(gotta love the ebrake locking up when its cold). Once its all together and going I plan to get it all detailed up and looking good and take some good pics to update this thread.
