In July issue of Fast Fords and Mustangs they put a 2011, 5.0 in a fox, Now that's something.

I love the concept but I think it would be a whole lot less expensive to just buy a 2011 or 2012 GT. :poke:

You can put a 11 GT 5.0 in any S197 just like you can put a 03-04 cobra in any SN95.Just because you don't think it can be don't means very little. If your going to make assumptions at least you could do is read the whole post, I said " Looks like a nice build though."

i think you meant to say new edge which is 99-04 style and not sn95 which was 94-98 style.

just my opinion but i disagree. new 2011+ = 30K+ , clean fox body (varies in price) 5-8k + 10K (newer badass drivetrain) = badass lightweight street killer for half the price.

Someone is a tough guy on the Internet, now what are the differences between a 2011 and a 09? Fuel power steering alternator, wiring harness/ ecu body harness hmmm now on a new edge only difference Is ecu n harness kinda easy compared to this thanks for your input go troll somewhere else :)

Don't you think there might be a little difference between a D2C or S197 tank and a lightweight Fox. I would like to see a 2011 5.0 in a 65 coupe.
And there is no such thing as a new edge mustang, That's just something some ford people called it, SN95 is the platform for mustangs 94-2004.
D2C is the platform from 2005 to present.
I got your point and no it would not be cheaper to by a 2011 over a fox 5.0
It would be cheaper to buy a 2011 for the OP. Sell what he's got and build a fassssst S197.

lots of parts laying around already. I want to know what exhaust parts i can save from the 05 to use with the 5.0

I am in the process of putting a coyote in an 05 GT.... I looked through this thread but did not find the answer to my biggest question....

Will the stock 3v computer work (obviously with a new flash, maybe even a reflash from ford?) or do I need to get the race pack that includes computer/etc from FRPP?
