If you have a lot of plumbing projects to do around the house I'd suggest just getting a set of pex crimping tools. We sell them for like $75 a set and you need different ones for different line sizes. the sharkbites are great but you're right, they're fucking expensive.

Saturday I ripped out the backdoor of our house, the bottom of the casing was rotting. Once I tore it out I also found old termite damage across the top, the brickmold was basically sawdust up there. I put in a new door and caulked the hell out of it. Hopefully this one won't suffer the same...

Where would you get onto the deck from? like a den or your bedroom? Wouldn't want to have a bunch of people parading through the bedroom to get out onto the deck. I think that I agree with you on doing the deck and gravel with pavers on the ground level.

What type of shower valve did you install? They all have limiting stops on them to protect kids from turning the water too hot and getting scalded.

My father inlaw just had the back patio on his new house enlarged from 8'x10' to 20'x20' and a 3'x6' pad poured on the side of the house for refuse containers and it cost him $2000. No stamping or anything.

That thing must have been pretty expensive back in the day. Very capable machine. I like that you can do the rip cuts and angle cuts. Very handy.
