Nice. If you're swapping the front cover to the milled version before installing a blower, this should be a mandatory change. It eliminates about half of the failures I've read about post-blower on this forum!
Meh, 11.16 isn't a bad guess for a car like that. The 12.86 is about 10 years behind the times, and the 14.xx is just a moron.
I woulda guessed about 10.90s @ mid 120s for that car. Also depends a LOT on the driver and the tune.
Not saying electronic nannies would have prevented this wreck, but they've definitely saved my ass a couple of times. I'm used to pretty fast cars (owned a 10 second fox body for a long time) and I've done some admittedly stupid things in my 11 GT that had the stability control stepping in...
Sister in law had a G8 GXP. Thing rode like a dump truck. They may be collectible, but for a driver, not a great car.
I would take a Ford GT though, and if I had the means that would definitely be VERY high on my list.
OK that's just gay. These cars NEED subframe connectors or the floorpans rip to shreds. Get some on there.
Other than that, sweet ride! I miss my foxbodies to this date. Refined? Nope. Fun as hell? You bet your ass!
Sawzall. Sharp blade. :chainsaw:
Did this in my 89 probably 15 years ago now. Nice spot to put a fuel cell:
Anyway, don't be too afraid. Noone will see the underside of your car anyway
One of the reasons I'm not a huge fan of the Roushcharger. Instead of a 15 minute chore, it's going to take 3 days plus uninstall/reinstall to get your PCM reflashed.
I don't see the weight down at 3350. Look at all the things you have to do to a Vette to get it to that weight. Carbon fiber this, aluminum that. Way too expensive for an entry level car.
Very nice! I've been following this from basically the beginning and I gotta say I'm super impressed by the things you guys have been able to do with just a lot of boost!
Can't wait to see what you guys do with this ride, but I am not a fan of the color. But then I understand loving a color that not everyone likes. I own a tri-blaze yellow 2011 :naughty1:
I know the E-Force kit comes with an SCT tuner with the Edelbrock tune loaded on it. Can additional tunes be loaded on that tuner, or does it require buying another SCT tuner?
So, I charged my battery with a charger. No jumping, no blown fuse.
I held the phone button for about 10 seconds, and all of a sudden the radio started to connect to my phone. After that I was able to reset the Sync in from Line to USB and the electronic lady is back.
Weird, but fixed.
So I just went and started my 2011, and I have no sync. I hit the sync button on the radio, and it flashes sync for a half a second before going back to the FM tuner. Hit the "electronic lady" button on the steering wheel and it does nothing.
Anyone run across this before? What's the fix?
Try this spreadsheet for figuring out MT82 to T56 conversions with gear ratios.
The way I see it, the closest you can get to an MT82 with 3.31 is the 2.97 T56 with 4.10s. 3.73's would be tolerable.
