Yea don't get my previous post wrong
sounds like a badass build just throwing my 2cents in to try and keep you from having to buy a tranny before you're comfortable with it. That's what I had to do when I blew my 5R55S and now I'm pinching pennies for a little while. And just some advice for jumping up in horsepower, last thing anyone wants is to see a built up car lose the rear right into a wall on the first couple drives.

Wish I had the time to acquire the money necessary for a build up. I have to spend the next paycheck on tires, alignment, potentially new shocks and struts and then I can put the change in the "go fast jar" (savings account)

trying to become a doctor sucks :p

i know. i know. there are a few things that if decided i wont let happen to my car. one is putting of the dyno tune. one is driving like a dickbag before i get tuned (a sure way to blow up your car). one is underestimating my power. and the last is to refrain from making more than 5xx hp on stock tranny.

for sure on the tune, even forged parts can break with enough stress
the power jump is scary, going from a bolt-on car to one pushing more torque than I had seen on a stock 3v was a big wake up for me lol. About a week after we fixed the last issue in the tune I got lucky enough to get next to a SN95 cobra with a centri on the highway. We just waved and hit it at ~55 I heard squealing and once it hooked I looked in the rearview to see some faint black marks on the road in my lane. All I could think was "Daaaaaamn"

I say go for it man. I'm making 600rwhp and 650rwtq right now on the stock tranny and McLeod RST. As long as you are on street tires you should be fine for quite some time. I plan on setting my car up for drag racing and one change will be the 6060 and I don't plan to race until then, but highway racing is real fun right now:)

i had some leftover fabric and tried to wrap the gauge pod in it today. came out awful. weird shaped objects are terrible. what to do now... hmm

I may do the import thing and cover it with illest and hella flush stickers until all my finances are caught up after the build.
