Nice Alex, when i met you a few weeks ago at the car meet by UCF i remember you talking about a build but didn't know you were going to start this quick! What are you going to do w/ your stock heads?

im eventually going to sell the block, heads (with comp cams stage 2 thumpers) and oem manifold. undressed as a package or separate.
depending on what happens with the drivetrain, i may also be selling an exeddy mach 600? 700? the one thats rated for 700 torques at the wheels. and a stock 5 speed manual with the steeda cheap short shifter.
as of now, gzmo has dibs on the longblock, but keep up with the build, and ill keep you posted. im looking to swap motors with the built one by february 1st. the car is my daily, and i will be assembling the new motor between work and school and on a college kid budget, but i think february 1st is very realistic as of now.

i dropped the heads off at modular head shop. cool guy. we were talking about my goals and my block. he said that realistically i could absolutely make a reliable 800 wheel and rev to 7500 rpm.

Now let me be the 'downer' for a moment - but you'll thank me later...
#1 - Nobody 'garuntees' 1000 rwhp - or even 800 rwhp. Sure, they may say that before you give them the check, but 1000 percent they are not going to replace a motor for free when it breaks and it WILL break - you can count on that. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but if you use power - power will break shit - just a fact. Even motors that cost 50K break and when you make big power, things breaking are just part of the equation.
#2 - The girl is smoking hot, but I would make a visit to her tattoo artist and give him a backhanded pimp slap making sure my knuckles dented his cheekbone. If you are going to put ink on a hot bod like that, pay the coin and go to a professional and do it right. It's a shame to mark a hot body like that with anything but stellar ink... Get her to a pro asap to rework that damage that some idiot did to her.
#3 - your interior made me throw up in my mouth a little. The idea was cool but ever hear 'too much of a good thing...'? Using the same pattern everywhere turned it from something unique to a Jeepny in the Philippines. I do like the idea, but should have been a little more subtle in the pattern on the roof IMO.
#4 - if you are truly going for a wicked street ride, then you don't need anywhere near 800 whp to be 'wicked fast'. In fact, if you focus on suspension and handling the power for the street, you will kick the shit out of your friend's 1000 whp turd with 600-650 rwhp... I'd put money on it.
You are on the right track though, kid, and great job so far and good plans. Just don't bite off more than you can chew with your power goals. There comes a point when you pass the 'street' mark and the car starts becoming more of a 'race car' than a 'street car' - once you hit that point, you are screwed for a street car anymore - just try to keep that in the back of your mind when you are building it and when your builder starts using terms like, "well, we are going to need to add xxx to support this power"...
when you start to hear that - it goes down hill for a street car fast from there.

Badass build going on here; cant wait to see her finished! I am in the process of changing the door panels with some red suede; I already sueded the roof. How did you get the fabric to stick on the door panel? Did you remove the fake leather trim or did you glue on top of it? Appreciate the advice! [FONT=Arial (W1)][/FONT]
