I just installed AM Bullitt 18x9s with 255/45s and 19x10s with 275/40s. Prior to purchasing I looked and couldn't find pics of this setup so I thought I'd post it for anyone interested. The car is lowered 1.5" front and rear. Overall, I'm happy with the stance though I think the rear needs to drop a little more.[IMG]

The rear slightly higher that the front looks good on our body style.

The 18s and 19s is purely an aesthetic thing. For the 05s to 09s the fronts and rears look out of proportion to me when the same rim diameter is used. I also considered 19s and 20s but for cost and other reasons went with the other.

I tend to agree that a slight rake looks good.

The rear on the S197s have higher stances than the front from the factory anyhow. So I don't see what putting different size wheels/tires are going to accomplish, to begin with anyhow:shrug: IMHO, the body style of the S197s look much better when they're level.

Looks good and if you like it that's what matters. Uncommon but not unheard of for factory setups to have different wheel diametesr front to rear, the 2011ish SVTPP gt500 setup was 19's & 20's I believe, some vettes are similar. I currently run fully square wheel/tire setup but sometimes miss when I had same diameter wheels but a taller rear tire giving the car some rake.

It's just a visual trick with the rim sizes. The tire sizes I selected are close in diameter to the OE, about 27 1/4". The fronts are slightly smaller and the rears slightly larger so the rake angle wasn't changed hardly at all with the new set up. That said, the tail is still a little higher than I'd like so I'll be looking at 1/2" lower rear springs soon.

I have a 2011 GT with the same wheels, but 18" front and back. I love the retro look. However, the car is being lowered as we speak about 1.5" all around.
I am considering going to 19's or 20's for two reasons. It's also getting 410 gears installed and that may be a bit much for street driving. Also, I am looking at installing GT 500 Brembo brakes that I hear do not fit within the 18" rims. Anyone have experience with that setup?

I currently have chrome bullitts from AM on all 4 x corners. Fronts are 18 x10 with 285-40-18 rubber.
Rears are 19 x 10 with 305-35-19 rubber. Interesting to note that it's extremely difficult to see that the rear rims are 1" bigger diameter than the fronts. Nobody will ever notice you have 2 x different sized rims. I used 3mm thick HR hubcentric spacers on the fronts, and still loads of threads left. Front et is now 45-3 = 42mm. Rears are et-48mm. Front lowered 1/2"...and rear lowered 1 1/4". Still has rake to it. This is on a 2010.

Your car looks really good with the Rocket wheels on it. Can you clear up the rim size and tire size please.
