I was wondering the same thing, since AM has there 18X10 GT4s on clearance for $99. They'd make decent track wheels on the cheap with 275/40/18's mounted. They're +45 offset too. Unfortunately the rep from AM told me they'd rub up front. I'm wondering if he's erring on the side of caution, or if they'd work with a spacer as stated above. Any ideas?

They may rub the inner splash shield slightly, but that's it. They won't rub anywhere else. My 295's on 18x10's don't rub.

Maybe it has something to do with the spokes hitting the caliper then? I don't know of anything else it could be.

I run 18x10s with 275s up front, and 295s in rear. Never had a rubbing issue, lots of clearance actually. Thinking about wider taller fronts next time. Im on the Roushs.

I ran 18x10 Roush wheels with 295's all around without an issue. Now I'm running AMR 18x10's with 285's also with no issue. No spacers either. I'm also running FRPP K springs.

^^^This.

I just ordered those same rims from AM Those are the AMR 18x10's +48s right?

What is the sidewall percentage you're running there there? I'm wanting to put either the 285/35/18 Hankook R-S3's or the Nitto NT-01 275/40/18s on all 4 corners for running autocross and DEs. (Keep my 555s and factory 18 bullitts for the street).

The ones in the pic are Goodyear 285-40's. I also have a set of 295-40's that fit just as well.

i have 18x10.5+22 front +33 rear all around ... so im sure you would fit 18x10 easily given your front brakes dont get in the way and you can run anthing from +35-45offset.
im pretty low and they only rub on the fender. but i know mine poke out more than the sizes you're looking for so like i said i think you will be fine specially with that conservative drop.
heres a pic for reference

Are those volks or the rotas? I love them either way, I plan to go with some volks in the future and I've search high and low for a coyote with some Jdm wheels. Love the look

edit: found out they are actually from europe

While i Know its completely impratical, I am shooting for 11's all the way around....... Its gonna take a lot of adjustable parts up front lol

Oh and little to NO poke!

That's going to be a bit difficult. Anxious to see the results though.

^oh i know..........

With the extra room from the coilovers and the fact that im going to run adjustable a arms to really dial it all in, it should clear all, but not with much to spare......

my 10.5s with wrong offset poking and 2 deg of camber is about 15mms from touching my coilovers. good luck with 11s in front with high offsets

i'm in the same boat as you. it's been done already for track application (what i would use it for), but you'd probably use it on the street, no?

picture below is of 18x11 front, 18x12 rears with 315/35/18 all around on vorshlag's car. i think that's 3.5° of camber up front. a 305/35/18 (i.e. toyo r888) should give you a little extra wiggle room compared to what you see.

this car has 345s on the back now, but it's just too much tire (14" wide) for the poor fender well. rubs pretty bad unless it's spaced out a bunch
