Hi everyone,
I'm thinking about getting a spare PCM for my 2006 Mustang GT in case they become harder to find in the future.
According to my local Ford dealer, my car originally came with a 6R3A-12A650-FB PCM. However, at some point a previous owner replaced it with a 6R3A-12A650-XB, which has been working perfectly.
I'd like to pick up a used backup PCM, but I'm not sure which part number I should be looking for.
Should I look specifically for another XB, or would an FB work just as well? Are there any other compatible part numbers I should keep an eye out for?
Also, has anyone here replaced an FB with an XB (or vice versa)? If so, I'd be interested in hearing about your experience and whether you noticed any differences.
Thanks in advance!
Patricio
