Guys, the big problem here is we don't have many military dealerships in Germany. 250 miles is a lot when the other dealerships are 4-5 miles away.

I wouldnt sweat it. Just make them detail it in and out, change the fluids etc. Then get in and have fun.

I work at a large volume Ford dealer and we "dealer trade" vehicles routinely when we don't have the exact car a customer wants and they don't want to wait for a special order from the factory. We do about 50-80 trades per month on average, and the cars are driven between the dealerships, so miles get put on them. We trade with dealers all around the Pacific NW, so they can have anywhere from a handful of miles to several hundred miles on them.

By law, as long as the car has never been titled, it can be sold as new (and get factory incentives) up to 6K miles on the odometer. I bought my 2003 Mach 1 via a dealer trade (we were sold out). It came from a neighboring state and I bought it new with 405 miles on the odometer. I didn't think twice about it.

As for warranty, it's true that the warranty doesn't start ticking until the day the car is actually sold, but the mileage side of the equation still ends at an even figure. For example, let's say you buy a new car today with 359 miles on the odometer. Your bumper-to-bumper warranty will expire 36 months from today or when the odometer hits 36,000 miles, whichever occurs first. The warranty will not extend to 36,359 miles just because of the miles on the clock at the time of purchase. The powertrain warranty works the same way (it's 60 months from the date of sale or 60,000 miles on the odometer, whichever happens first).

I was just upset when I showed up to look at it and it was filthy, white car with dirt all over it. Dead bugs all over the front end, and I popped the hood and even the strut towers looked dirty. I am over it now, I was assured it will be detailed to perfection. My out the door price after rebates and anothe 1k off is 26.4K, thats good I think considering all the overseas delivery prices. I will be happy with it.

By chance Is the car being delivered from Panzer Kaserne in Boblingen? Auto with saddle interior?

It is white with saddle int, I am not sure where it came from but it was the only white auto in the system that I know of.

I'm sure it's the car that sits on the exchange new car sales lot here in Stuttgart. I put 38 miles on it myself:)

Nice, what did you end up with? Did you beat on it? LOL

Its a really nice car, I dig the saddle interior. I didn't hurt it, but I did take it on the A8, and did a short powerbrake burnout. I drove it for half the time, then my wife babied it around Stuttgart. I know Mark Mitchell at ENCS, and will give you his number if you like. He is the guy that hands the keys to test drivers and inspects the car when it returns, or rides along. He just gave me the keys and 1/2 tank of fuel.
