First off, thanks to the members who gave me feedback through PM's. I have yet to ask a fellow member a question and not get good info.

Some of you know that my fucking knee's have been giving me a lot of grief. Part of that is my job, but the end result is that I had a few times last year in traffic where I wondered if my leg would push the damn clutch in. I also have a turbo kit sitting in the shed, and was going to upgrade the stock tranny anyway, in some fashion.

Sooo, after a heck of a lot of thought, decided a 4R70 transmission was how I was going to upgrade the trans. It was not easy trying to sift through all the trans shops and whether to go with a 5R55 or the 4R70. I decided that with the potential of my turbo and with posible upgrades on the horizon, the 4R70 was the best choice.

A big thumbs up to STKJOCK for mentioning FB Performance. I was just about ready to give up on finding someone who could provide a comprehensive package when I contacted them. All I can say is that they have amazingly fast response time with comprehensive answers. I did try to provide them with all the information upfront so I could get a complete answer...it paid off.

So, this is what I am thinking of going with. Do you guys see anything missing that I should be thinking of?

The 4R70 is without a doubt the best choice.

If you are going to go turbo in the future, plan ahead on the trans cooler lines in respect to the turbo piping so you don't have to do the cooler lines twice.

Does the Bauman controller handle lock up and OD entirely and enable you to disable them for track use? I'm not familiar with the controller since I use a MVB..... just asking for my own knowledge. Thanks.

It allows multiple curves and MPH for lockup...so I believe yes.

 and yet some people think I'm an asshole....

well maybe I am.

Ron (94tbird) had FB do a 4r70 for him, install and all, he was very pleased with the performance of it.

The pistol grip shifter is a big bitch. Don't know if I could get used to that.
