You can sign up on www.amsoil.com and become a preferred member for $10 every quarter I think. Maybe 6 months. Prices are a good amount cheaper if you sign up. You may need to enter the name of a local dealer you went through in order to qualify. Cannot remember.
The 6 month $10.00 trial can only be selected one. After that, it's $20.00 per year
Isn't that the same thing? $10 for 6 months or $20 for a year?

Than again if you really wanted to be a cheap ass and save $10 you could... Just order everything you'll need for the year. Although if you're that cheap you probably should just stick to Motorcraft at Autozone..![]()
Actually, if you signed up for 6 months and then went in with a bunch of friends on it, you could all potentially just split up the membership fee so long as everyone ordered a batch together.
LOL, and if you got like 100 people to go in on the 6 months trial you would only pay $.10 and than if you ordered a lifetime supply of oil you would never have to pay again! LOL
So, a bit off topic and I'm not trying to be a smart ass or anything. I do agree amsoil is good oil. However. What is the deal with their marketing scheme? It's horrific to say the least. It seems like a pyramid scheme and then, they have set up a bunch of websites masked as 3rd parties praising their products and use fake testimonials.
I'm thinking of trying Amsoil next time I do an oil change. I would use Redline, but their stuff is EXPENSIVE. It's $11 for a gallon of oil! Does anyone have a source for Redline?

I'm sure he meant quartVery good point! $11/4= $2.75 a qt which is not bad at all!

Well, the Amsoil Signature Series 10w30 went in there yesterday. I couldn't believe it. I couldn't tell a difference. LOL![]()
I'd love to run amsoil, its just pricey, a little overpriced IMO. If anyone has a hook up let me know.
I love how people say that, but considering you can buy it at dealer cost as a preferred customer. It's really cheaper than what you buy on the shelf.
For instance....
Amsoil ATM 10W-30 (which I recommend for hot climates in the 4.6L and especially supercharged applications)
it's $9.75 per quart at retail price
it's only $7.50 per quart at dealer cost (preferred customer price)
That's $1.50 per quart cheaper than Royal Purple on the shelf, and only .50 cents per quart more than regular Mobil 1.
Not to mention you have an oil that would perform a severe service schedule of 15,000 miles easy.
