Hey everyone! Any motorsports fans here? Whether it's F1, IndyCar, NASCAR, MotoGP, or rallying, I would love to hear what you follow. The F1 season started with the Australian GP where George Russell took the win, which was pretty exciting. Who are you cheering for this year and what races do you never miss?

Another win for the Mercedes. This time in China as Kimi Antonelli win the Chinese GP ahead of his teammate George Russell who came second.

Kimi Antonelli makes it two wins from two with victory at the Japanese Grand Prix, becoming the youngest ever championship leader in the process.

I have lost interest in many of the past Motorsports sanctioning bodies. Many years ago, I liked F1, NASCAR, NHRA, and INDYCAR before the fallout and the split years ago. Now I have no clue who drives in NASCAR or F1, and the only one I still enjoy is NHRA.

I watch FIA series still. I read an article not long ago that the Ford will be joining the hypercar class with an N/A 5.4L coyote as the engine. Mainly the teams I root for are Porsche and Corvette.

Have attended the 12 Hours of Sebring for the past 13 years, love sports car racing. Have been watching F1 for about 15 years now, starting to lose interest in it though. If I wanted to watch Formula-E, I would.

You are definitely not alone. Many fans feel the same way this season about F1. The new regs just haven't delivered the kind of racing people were hoping for.

Vintage racing and vintage race films have more appeal these days. Almost any Bathurst event is worth watching.

I've been following sports car racing a bit this year, mostly IMSA GTP. I've got Sebring a couple hours from me.

Since you follow IMSA, this is a solid behind-the-scenes look at how Ben Barnicoat and Jack Hawksworth built the kind of trust that pays off in endurance racing. It highlights how their off-track friendship and shared routines translated into results and why they are still a pairing worth keeping an eye on heading into 2026.

McLaren look back in form in Miami after not a great start to the season, taking the sprint win.

I gave up on Nascar. At most, I would watch the 1st and last 25 laps. NHRA / top fuel dragster's / funny cars bores me to tears. I just can't get wound up about a race that last 3.5 secs. Got bored with Indy cars too. Watched a bit of Formulae-E and F-1. F1 just isn't the same as it used to be..... ever since the cars became Hybrids, bloated, and weight of the F1 cars soared.

A few years ago, I was right into that Australian Super V8 series, it was well done.

Years ago, I was glued watching motorsports...like from 1990 to pre CV-19. For whatever reason, just lost interest.

FIA says changes to engine hardware in 2027 will make driving "more intuitive" via a 50kW increase in power from the internal combustion engine and the same decrease in electrical output; Further tweaks to the rules for 2026 after Miami changes also discussed among F1 stakeholders

1 hp = 746 watts. 50 kw = 67 hp. Most electrical motors are not 100% eff, maybe 80%. F1 is still a hybrid setup, doesn't matter how you cut it. They should dump the hybrid, and go back to straight gasoline powered engines like the 4.0 litre V-10's when Nigel mansel was driving.

That's basically what they're going to do in 2030/31. Go back to a NA v8, 2.4L, and pretty much ditch all the battery/hybrid stuff. They'll run on 100% sustainable fuel as their green bench mark.
